Cette chanson me tenait particulièrement à coeur parce qu'en cette période critique, faire "Gaffe aux autres" est essentiel. Prendre soin des autres, les aimer, les chérir. Mais aussi parce que Ben Mazué est un des artistes que je respecte le plus parmi les nombreux artistes que j'apprécie. Il est talentueux, pur et sincère. Il me fait voyager, rêver, réfléchir, penser. Alors chanter une de ces chansons était la manière pour moi de vous faire comprendre et connaître un peu plus mon univers.

Sparrow & Barbossa have their highly anticipated album ready to sail the world's oceans, 'Seven Seas' is finally here. One year locked down in the studio has opened their minds to travel to different cultures allowing them to create a unique and colourful debut album.
 
'Quando Te Veo' is the album's first single, a complete reinterpretation of the emblematic song from the all-timers Acid & Nu Jazz gurus, the German Duo, MoHorizons. 
The second single is 'E Fura,' a collaboration with one of the most popular Nigerian Afrobeat ambassadors, Dele Sosimi.
'Nyakua' is the contribution of Sparrow & Barbossa's mentor. The Iberican Sound mastermind, Stereo Productions founder, and Redolent head honcho, DJ Chus. 
A vocal song by Kenyan favorite singer Idd Aziz.
'Azucar' brings the Latin Flavour to this album with a tribute to Latin Grammy winners and most popular Cuban-Band, Los VanVan. 
Afrikan Rising Star, Berlin-based, Floyd Lavine, is the partner on this studio collaboration titled 'When I'm With You' performed by legendary New York Soulful singer Josh Milan.
The Pirates trimmed sails to Morocco to meet Cee ElAssaad to produce 'Libre,' a freedom ode with the finest female and Spanish vocal.
TOSZ, the multidisciplinary artist, Polish singer, and songwriter, Frankfurt-based,  is the man behind 'Saudades Do Mar.' A Brasilian carnival festivity in the form of a love song. 
'Morena' is the gypsy rumba-fiesta track in this voyage featuring the Spanish singer Vinila Von Bismark. 
The duo passed on a Caribean heading and joined forces with El Chino Dreadlion and VitiYono on 'We Are Not Alone,' a charming Cuban chants track.
'Dream' & 'Back Home' are their private crossovers in the album. 
'Transat L'Antique' is the album's closing track, where Bryan Coletta (Sparrow) involves his father, the world-famous guitar player Francis Coletta. The icing on the cake of 'Seven Seas.'
 
Seven Seas' is a milestone that will set a new course in Sparrow & Barbossa's career. They aim to transmit ancient cultures' roots and democratize World Music through Electronica. 'Seven Seas' is the perfect example, music coming from all cardinal points. The treasures and richness of 'Seven Seas' can't be categorized into one specific genre. 
It has a House Music core and is all about Organic, Latin, and Afro Electronic Dance Music. Now is the time to travel the world spreading the musical message of this 'Infamous-Afro-Pirates-Latin-House Duo.'

Ransom Note stalwart BAWRUT (@bawrut) returns to the label with a re-examination of his latest LP, presenting the darker and clubbier sides of ‘In The Middle’ in four additional tracks entitled ‘In the Middle (Extended)’.

When Bawrut started brainstorming the material for ‘In The Middle’, he realised he couldn’t keep all the concepts and ideas he’d written for the album to within a decent length. Opting for the classic 45-minute (or thereabouts) long-player, things had to be discarded onto the cutting room floor and others had to be reimagined. On this latest release - part of the Extended Deluxe Version of the album - we’re treated to drawn and out interpretations of tracks that went on to become the hookier, single length shortened versions that made the main LP.

“Mas Profundo” in its extended form of what became “Out of the Blue”; EP single “Sabich” is a clubbier version of what morphed into “Eurocasbah” which featured the vocals of Cosmo; and finally, the tracks “Calima” and “Mentira” take from familiar elements present on ‘In The Middle’, with the latter having the frenzied, flamenco patterns of “Alfredo and Ricardo brought me here” with a touch of psychedelia.

These exclusive compositions can be seen as remixes, reinterpretations or simply an attempt to transform a long track into a short one that fits an EP better than an album listening experience.

Enjoy this week’s episode with Cuban duo Dj ́s & producers Iván Lejardi and David Casas with their aural universes, a collaboration that blends powerful electronics with the wealth of traditional and Afro-Cuban music. 
Fresh from the producers labs, Da Le (Havana) rhythmic experiment has been put to the test at Havana ́s most in-demand venues, such as Fabrica De Arte Cubano (FAC), Havana World Music Fest, and Eyeife Fest among others. 
Here, their sound recipe hints at an evolution in the Cuban electronic music scene, traversing local frontiers and sending up an identity amongst the international circuit. 
Both artists are finding in the past and present of their Cuban roots the very substance of what has made the island a true cultural hub for years. “Da Le (Havana)” is borne to the world by the strength of Cuban musical traditons and the producer ́s will to uphold this heritage from their unique experience within electronic music, commited to the contemporary scene; styles like Afro-House, Deep House and Afro-Beat are naturally found in their repertoire. 
Sharing stage and collaborations with world-class Cuban artists include Julito Padrón, Rodney Barreto, Dayramir González, X Alfonso, Síntesis, Edesio Alejandro and also alongside top-billed international stars such as Luciano, John Acquaviva, Dj Koze, The Knocks, Dj Tennis, Darksidevinyl and Zen Freeman. 
Their productions have been picked up by renowned labels such as Stereo Productions, Redolent, Wired, Deep Root Tribe and Celsius Degree Records. 
“Da Le (Havana)” makes it clear that have just begun to get their machines revved up and offers a peek at what may well be the new future of Cuban electronic music.
