I was invited to a friends wedding at a Vineyard in Canada.  Financially it was not possible so I asked if I could write them a song as a gift instead.  He emailed their story and I wrote the song.  Fortunatly they have a neat story that rhymes.

Qui appelle t-on quand on a un souci dans une petite commune rurale de 200 habitants ? Le maire. Et quand le maire est occupé sur son tracteur, on lui laisse un message. Pour dire ses doutes, ses questions, ses angoisses et parfois ses joies. Le soir, Laurent et son épouse Laure, présidente du comité des fêtes, écoutent et commentent ces messages comme des archives vivantes de la vie du village. Un chien qui chasse le gibier, une panne de l'éclairage public, un nouvel arrivant qui demande à ce qu'on lui transporte ses tonnes de livres... Toutes ces petites choses qui font la vie, et qui rendent celles de Laure et Laurent fatigante, palpitante mais surtout essentielle. The Backbeat Conspiracy is a reggae-rockband from Östersund, Sweden.

The band was originally formed in 2003 under the name of Dubkollektivet and toured around in Sweden for a number of years. In 2007 the band was put on hold as the members went their different ways, doing different things. In 2015 the band reformed, with new name, new music and some new members. Since then the Backbeat Conspiracy has released three singles, two music videos and one album , while playing a lot of gigs in Sweden.
