Please help me to inspire Ade to reopen his line of Wesley Willis t-shirts. Mine wore out. I need a new one. Thanks Wesley so much for your pure and uninhibited authenticity. Thank goodness that you were around when you were and also thank goodness for the random people I sometimes meet who seem to embody a similar spirit to you. It was only last weekend I was lucky enough to meet an old lady, a 'cancerian' called Diana, who sang Doors songs with me at the market. Thank you, I understood and good luck. She understood the 'flake.' Back to this song, it's a true story and if I hadn't have made this, Ade's head might have exploded like when we was at Krakatoa in the famous picture. this kind of joke is warped innit. Will someone please design me a 'this kind of joke is warped t-shirt?' Ade, I'm looking at you but I know you're busy. I love my friend Ade and all my friends, it kills me so bad that life cut me off for so long and seems to be trying to perform a checkmate, but at least there is still the gag, the joke, even if it's warped. As long as there is even a trace of it, a remnant, that's enough to carry on. PS. I'm serious about trying to find the Canadian lady who wanted to buy a bulk order of Wesley Willis shirts for her shop. Here's an extremely rough home demo of Love Song, later recorded by the Damned, possibly recorded on a Tascam reel to reel 4 track which allowed bouncing - but of course the sound starts to get murky fairly sharpish. The drums are some tapping on the mic with a pencil (snare) and index finger (bassdrum). As ever Johnny is giving it his all here but sadly Mr Vanian couldn't be persuaded to repeat his final "you're a b**ch" ad lib on the Chiswick Records recording.
