Kodomo is moniker for electronic music producer and composer Chris Child.  Kodomo’s work spans several genera’s and can be cinematic, dance driven, and dreamlike, with roots in IDM, minimalism, techno, and various styles of ambient music.  Child is also an Emmy award winning TV composer and has contributed music for a handful of games developed by Harmonix.  His music is regularly featured on NPR news shows.

We make an entirely impromptu, glimmering flurry of sounds. There is twinkling and melting and crackling and skittering and scraping.

There are thunderous synth drones and whale-like bellows, lonely flute chiffs, and skeletal found-sound beats. There are ugly soundscapes, armies of marching stylophones and dying children's toys fighting for battery power. 

All of these songs were improvised and recorded live. Sometimes the result is bizzare and otherworldly. Sometimes nothing but disastrous dreck spills from us. Other times the sounds are nothing short of overwhelming and gorgeous.
