Animal Running is an Alternative/Indie Rock band formed in the Midwest with a Pacific Northwest sound. Having lived, performed, and recorded in and around Nashville, TN, Columbus, OH, and Portland, OR, Animal Running's music reflects the diverse cultures in which it was conceived. Serving as the creative outlet for singer/songwriter Nate Brown and company (Nate Elliott – Guitar/Vocals, Matt James – Drums/Guitar, and Amos Good – Bass/Vocals), Animal Running creates music characterized by movement as well as stillness, capturing the world surrounding them while still drawing influence from within. Their mid-tempo blend of indie rock is equal parts bright and brooding, featuring a range of acoustic rhythms and arpeggios, shimmering electric guitars, and distorted soundscapes. Since its formation in 2009, the band has played house shows and coffee houses in Nashville as well as small clubs in Central Ohio where the band is currently based.
