The Story of ….The Beat Dolls.

From the ashes of Dallas Punk/Ska band, SkateAroundChippy, The Beat Dolls. arose. 
A Rock n’ Roll band, heavily influenced by Punk Rock, and the slightest hint of Ska, that’s taking Austin and the rest of the world by storm. The Beat Dolls. will assault you with frantic distortion, pleasantly brain staining melodies and lyrics, vocals and style that conjure up images of a Gwen Stefani/Brody Dalle hybrid, reinforced by the backbone, an unyielding  rhythm section that packs a punch that will leave you reeling, well into your drive home. The band name was actually borrowed from a song titled Beat Doll that Angie’s dad, Jack Starr, on Norton Records wrote. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Starr made his mark on the world with fans of Rockabilly and horror movies alike, including Jack White and The Upholsterers who covered Starr’s “Pain (Gimme Sympathy)”.  

The Beat Dolls. began much the same way SkateAroundChippy did, with Ramon writing music and Angie, writing lyrics. Eventually Ramon moved onto his own band, with Ernesto Calderon, drummer for SkateAroundChippy, to form The Scary Mondelos.  This left Angie in need of a writer and guitar player, not to mention a bass player, also Ramon’s role, and a drummer. Angie looked no further than in the mirror and her Austin community of musicians. She found a steady guitar player in herself, a rude thumping bass player in Barry Anderson and a thunder summoning drummer in Mike Reisch.

The Beat Dolls. belt out tales of sarcasm, wit, humor, sadness and madness, of which at least one of those every one of us could relate.  If you are looking for Britney, Katy or Lady, you are looking in the wrong direction, for The Beat Dolls. sugar coat nothing and you’ll get no apologies here. 
But…one may find…that you are not alone and that Angie has articulated what’s been festering in your crazy brain all along. 


Born from the passion for the world of electronic music and an always renewed will to create, 
Outsiders Agency leaves its mark on the musical landscape as an innovative project shaped for international standards.
Composed of several European teams from different countries (France, Italy, Germany and Spain), 
it puts together all the lines of work that are typically found in the music industry: 
musicians, promoters, technicians, graphic designers, video jockeys and communication managers.
The identity of Outsiders agency is based on the crossing of genres, career paths and experiences acquired by each of its partners, 
in order to encourage a dynamic and coherent development of its concept, while aiming at an international influence
The fundamental concept behind the Outsiders Agency project is the promotion of electronic music and their actors by means of events and productions.
Entertainment, technical feats and performances are the key words to define the agency’s conceptual way of thinking.
The final objective is the creation of an international professional network managing the actors agreeing with the project’s vision and conception.
It is the same with the artists invited to the events; they are offered the possibility to become regular partners for future projects. 
At present, the countries that are mainly concerned are France, Spain, Italy and Germany.

In an effort to achieve its goal of an expansion at an international level, Outsiders Agency created the MIDNIGHT IN. project. 
Through this project the agency has the possibility to acquire its maximum reach.
MIDNIGHT IN. has the objective to create an artistic network for electronic music in order to develop itinerant events, 
all this by taking advantage of 15 years of knowledge and experience in event setting, and of the musical and visual qualities of each of its partners.
This network is a unique platform designed for sharing and exchanging experiences.
After only nine months of activity, the MIDNIGHT IN. parties have already been rewarded by great success in major European cities such as 
Berlin, Rome, Turin, Toulouse, Marseille or Florence.

In an effort to achieve its goal of an expansion and attract new portion of audience, Outsider Agency has also created the NIGHT RUNNER project.
NIGHT RUNNER will promote high quality "Bass Music" dj set, as already done with the ‘Midnight In’ project. More details coming soon...

Black Water is an incredible band out of Central Texas. It is a sound like no other. The band's motto is "We do what we want!" We hope to see you at a show soon.

Dave Irons-Lead Male Vocalist/Acoustic Dave Irons is most well known for being the frontman of KriticKill. He has open for such national acts such as Fear Factory, Kittie, Drowning Pool, The Union Underground, Nonpoint, Hatebreed and American Head Charge.
 
Brandy Harlan-Lead Female Vocalist Brandy is a powerhouse vocalist with a rock/R&B/metal background. She performed at an after party for nationally known R&B singer Ginuwine. Brandy was also front woman for the classic rock band Hangar 24.

Bo Parsons- Bassist  One of the bands Bo has been in is Curb Check. His skill with the bass is exceptional!!

Brandon Doyle- Lead Guitar  In his early years he was in the band Second to Last. He is phenomenal on the guitar!

Brandon Lockabey- Drums  Has played with many bands with Bo Parsons. He lets it all loose when he is on stage jamming!
