Advent day number 8 has rolled around so who fancies a Christmas fiddle? No no no, not that kind of fiddle ya mucky buggers! We're talking the kind of fiddle played by someone with a bow in a jolly way and that's just what, Mr Rich and The Caretaker, have with their exclusive Crimbo freebie for us. From the creative mind of Qdup, his new Party Platters series is serving up hot, fresh artisan beats for the dance floor. We’ve been cooking it all up with soul, so leave any bad vibes a preconceived notions of tempos and genres behind and dig into the delicious flavor.

Qdup is flying high into 2019 after continuing his string of original singles on Washington, DC’s Fort Knox Recordings. He also found himself engineering and producing a Vocal Sample Pack along with conscious party MC EVeryman that was released earlier in 2019 with Canada’s Black Octopus Sound. His DJ touring kept him busy last year including DJ sets at Shamhala Music Festival & Bass Coast (Four Deck Set with Fort Knox Five), Motion Notion and Joshua Tree Music Festival (DJ Performance with EVeryman). 2019 looks to be a good year as Qdup has been hard at work cooking up new beats to bring to you. 

First up for Party Platters Vol. 1, “Love Rap Thang” is a strong Disco Break that is like a 70’s Soul Train Line and a classic Hip Hop MC got together and made a love child. Qdup’s beats and bass marry the classic party rap vibe with new school production prowess that really hits a sound system right. This will get the party moving! As the name suggests, “Funk Over Here” has all the funk in the trunk to make the bass bins bump. It’s infectious bass line and call and response vocal chants will have the dance floor saying “Hell Yeah”. Pure vibes!
