I can really appreciate the undertaking. I’m faced with similar challenges on a track I’m working on. I have found different words at different pitches pose mighty challenges. Makes you appreciate what great vocal groups were able to achieve.. Beatles, beach boys.. on and on. I don’t know if you’re familiar with the classical choral work of Karl Jenkins.. and his work with Adiemes.. they basically created a language of notes.. not words. I believe it still tells the story by virtue of the title and musical / vocal beauty. Also.. I really admire your lyrics. I love that you never shy away from a more poetic approach. 🙏🏼

One of my favorite things about December is its Geminid meteor showers. Unfortunately I missed this year's showers, but I have experienced meteors up close from a mountaintop as speeding balls of light whooshed by — they sang a hissing hum as they flew within a thousand yards overhead. Through a cloudy mist I saw spectacular white fireballs ranging in size from that of lemons to as big as footballs 😃

The Geminid meteor showers originate from the asteroid 3200 Phaethon. According to the American Meteor Society, “Geminids are often bright and intensely colored. Due to their medium-slow velocity, persistent trains are not usually seen.” They travel at a medium speed of 35 km/second ☄️🫨

A Jackson College announcement for a December 13, 2025, Geminids Watch Party described the occasion as “one of the most active and reliable annual meteor showers, producing up to 120 bright, fast meteors per hour under ideal conditions. First observed in the mid-1800s with just a handful of meteors per hour, the Geminids have grown into a major celestial event known for their vibrant yellow streaks lighting up the winter sky.” 🎇

This is a song that Josh and his cousin Paul came up with on Thanksgiving night, after everyone went to bed. They were working on a much longer composition, but got stuck in the jam after looking at each other and wordlessly saying, "this is the magic, stick with it." We were playing an electric guitar and a stand-up bass to a looper disco beat when we recorded this. So, of course, Josh asked Ken if he'd add some real drums, which he did as though he were in the room jamming with us. Then josh laid down some organ to go with the jam. Chris even popped by to do that thrilling intro guitar part. Josh and Stephen also had the idea to add some banjo in here, which Stephen did like the excellent musician he is. He also managed to mix this live recording hybrid with exceptional skill. 
  This is an example of two musicians who are intimately familiar with each other, and each other's playing and sensibilities, accompanied by two other musicians who have become nearly as familiar over the past few years. Happy belated Turkey Day to everyone. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

A little out of my depth here but that should turn good with some practice....

This initially started out intending to not have lyrics but they wouldn't go away so...
 try and open my voice up to some new sounds and range. I always played guitar along to the choir when I was young, so I never trained that side of my voice as a kid aside from singing along to stuff in my own time. No time like the present.

Plan is to get better a building harmony and also discover how particular vowels and consonants are limited or open relative to each other range wise. Apparently that's a thing where certain sounds within words are easier to deliver at your upper range vs other sounds. I'd like to become more aware of what those sounds and voicing are and maybe factor that into the writing too more purposefully and use syllables suited to the top and bottom of my range if I'm struggling on a particular word.


Sound notes
first note is an Oooo seems to be easier to falsetto, maybe because the lips are closed and the air flow is more controlled where as an Ahhhh your mouth is open and you are more likely to get a rush of air and controlling that is maybe harder with finesse and without losing the breath too soon

Of artists I've loved for a long time, Patrick James Grossi, stage name 'Active Child' would be the closest influence for honing and justifying music like this. He sang in a choir from early age and became a harpist in college too. He is a fabulous song writer and takes falsetto and harp into modern music like no other for my ears.
