This song was written in 2007 and is another of my space videos with a ghostly twist. I wrote it as a kind of Halloween ghost in space thing. Charlie sang it very well and I tried to play a very melodic Bass on it, like Chris Squire from Yes. This is a favorite of my wife, she really loves it and I like it a lot as well. I made the video just before I left for vacation about 3 weeks ago. The video turned out really good and I threw in plenty of space eye-candy for everyone to enjoy. Watch the video for the full irony of it all! It's a twisted irony to be a ghost in the machine! This is my #2 video for Halloween 2024 and not very creepy at all. Basically it'a about an astronaut that misses the earth, his wife, his kids, and is stranded on another planet where he dies but his ghost is still floating around lost forever in space, kind of a revamped Space Oddity from David Bowie! Dear friends, weapons are increasingly being rattled in both large and small countries. The common people certainly don't want any wars! The warmongers can sit safely in their palaces while the populace suffers hellish agony!!
There is very little discussion about how much the acts of war are damaging our climate. Probably a lot, considering all the explosions, oil consumption, and fires, and then cities to be rebuilt!
It is our duty to make a stop for these madness!
It is important that all people on our planet are treated fairly! Then we won't get any hate! As a child I was taught that it is absolutely forbidden to kill other people! World leaders, please listen to the words from an old medical doctor!

there is someone who takes the liberty to send
things that burn and explode and release
all those substances which are the cause of the hurricanes
There should be - someone, who can correct those guys

They have told me that I should not drive my car with gasoline

Eileen, My Nana and Aileen whom I've started working with musically are both inspiring this song... (Note: The name Eileen means Beauty, radiance... The name Aileen means Light.... apparently.... thanks google)

My Nana gave me my first ever piano lesson. I remember it like a video. in this song I used the speed finger/thumb cross over technique she showed me early on. I think of her "Every time" I do it 😊

The song itself was triggered by something Aileen said to me yesterday. I showed her a pic of my Nana for no other reason that she has the same name just a letter off... I was made to realize that I keep my Nana's pic and Grandads book of poetry beside me in the studio all the time. So they do actually shine down on me everyday. Before I showed it to Aileen I just did it... but she made me realize what it has actually meant and what it will continue to mean going forward..

This song explorers the scourge of racism on Earth. Different amounts of melanin in our skin is really the only difference! So this 'lights a torch' for the 'other shades, the hues'. People of different colour skin! We're all the furking same. The Magic slur is when Magic Johnston had to deal with a biggited NBA team owner. the good Dani let's eat... Dani Alves picked up and ate a banana that was thrown from the stands. the racist gesture is meant to suggest some humans were monkeys on the pitch. Dani Alves stood up and was counted for that moment.

The shivers in this song refer to the rush of a feeling you get through your back and body when some idea or someone has inspired you. A flow of nerve energy I suppose. I associate relating these feelings to reading shaman texts in my late teens and early twenties and when I was first going.... What the fuck is that? Those words gave a solid answer back then for me 🌿🌎

When the world wakes up from fear I believe we will revisit all these old cultures ways of life and truly embrace the truths we may have missed. There was possibly a less insular approach to imaging their own existence back then. Found, inside each of us and discovered in maybe a simplicity muted by the noise of the modern world.
