"There Will Be The Day"

This track was inspired especially by my love for the music and playing of Messrs. Pat Metheny (especially the song ”The Truth Will Always Be”), Jan Hammer, Michel Legrand, Bill Evans, Jaco Pastorius, Jeff Porcaro and Robbie Buchanan and as well as all music of Toto, the Crusaders and so many others. Also lurking somewhere in the background is the golden jazz standard All The Things You Are by Jerome Kern and of course the Prelude in E Minor by Frédéric Chopin (Op. 28, No. 4).

Everything played by me with my old beloved Korg SGProX digital piano and the great (somewhat newer) Yamaha Montage 8 synthesizer, using the Scarbee EP-88S (Rhodes Mk I), Lounge Lizard EP-4, Native Instruments Abbey Road 80s Drummer and sounds and effects from the UVI Sonic Pass, Arturia V Collection and Yamaha Montage.

Notes
Wrote this the night before last after being challenged by my Auntie Jan to write a positive song. This the second session with this idea.

Jan, has been a special spiritual guide for me throughout my life so I needed to make it as close to her heart as I could. Jan believes strongly we should project positivity into the world so sometimes when I share my music with her, like my worried AI tune, Symbiosis, she turns into Obi Wan and I feel like Anikan Skywalker getting told off. It's a pretty epic relationship I have with her.

I tuned my keyboard E6 to 639Hz and this resonates throughout the piece. This is the heart solfeggio frequency. The words imagine us as spheres of energy, I suppose like Divinci represents symmetrically with his famous design.

These two videos were enough to justify the ideas and feel I was singing about something real! I don't think I can sing about something otherwise....

So, I suppose this stuff could reopen doors to the possibility of an afterlife.... So Dick is sunning himself with Buddha & Jesus right now 🙏🏼🧘🏻 Along with everyone else that passed on before 💭 Nice to imagine it that way now anyways 




Other notes


The name Kardia is paying homage to Elpiverse. Yesterday, for most of the day I wished SoundCloud had repeat for the first time... (Eh have since been shown how to repeat 🙈) Her first song is incredible and really warmed my heart. Kardia can mean the heart of your energy in Greek. Or to quote one of the two angels that inspired this piece, Elpiverse, who kindly took the time to leave a lovely comment...

"Kardia has both a literal and metaphorical meaning. It is the organ, but it also represents our emotional world, our deepest self. We use the word in many ways."

In a world where we are poisoned by labels I think it's more honourable for humanity to show your true colours at the hard issues and lay them bare for a better future and in my opinion this should be more important then the success of whatever brand you are trying to create as a musician or artist. That's why I am The Beautiful Dark. My name is unlikely to help me become affluent and successful but it lays bare that this world has many dark inhumane ideas and mindsets to transcend and get on top of to move our existence on a path to a greater good for all life. So I'll do that for my children and I won't apologise for not trying to please people with any shallow so called truthful status quo.
