Man Of A Thousand Faces is the latest manifestation of songwriter Laith Tierney’s inexhaustible and chaotic creative energy.

An artistic chameleon, Tierney has distilled his previous approach of being in several wildly different acts, into one sonic shapeshifter capable of fulfilling almost any idea and musical experiment.

To accomplish such a feat, Laith has enlisted a seasoned & gifted assembly of musicians; Drummer 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗲 (𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗖𝗼𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝘀), Guitarists 𝗔𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗼𝗻 (𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘀, 6s & 7s) & 𝗝𝗼𝘇𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗵 (𝗧𝗶𝗺 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮 𝟰), Bassist 𝗟𝗶𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗺𝘀 (𝗙𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗱𝘆) and Producer/Engineer/Keyboardist 𝗥𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗱 (𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴)

The ensemble recently emerged from Studio Sleepwalker’s Dread where they gave life to a collection of 21 songs.

Tomás Ford has been captivating audiences for two decades with his unapologetically raw and provocative musical performances. Whether he's belting out idiosyncratic electronic beats or strumming his folksy ukulele, his unrelenting high energy and confrontational demeanor leave a lasting impression on all who witness him on tour around Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand and Europe. 

But what truly sets Tomás apart is his complete and utter fearlessness in sharing his uncensored self with his audience. It's this authenticity that has endeared him to his fans and garnered respect from his peers. A few songs into a set of Tomás Ford's transgressive, queer, punk-as-fuck musical performance art, you can't help but realize that he's not just striking a pose. This is the real deal.

Ford's career highlights are as bizarre as they are impressive:
• Was a bona-fide viral sensation in Malaysia, getting coverage on national news and which eventually led to him winning a Malaysian Grammy. 
• His hyperactive comedy DJ show Crap Music Rave Party became an institution at the Edinburgh Fringe, selling out every year for four years and growing into one of the biggest late shows of the festival.
• Became part of the furniture at the Big Day Out's legendarily debauched Lilypad stage. 
• Toured the country scaring audiences in massive venues as a special “treat” for Birds Of Tokyo’s audience. 
• Has opened for an insanely diverse range of musicians and comedians, including Gary Numan, Regurgitator, Dave Graney, Of Montreal and Mouse On Mars. 
• He’s won a “Best Ass In Sydney” competition at Stonewall. 
• He’s collaborated with live artists PVI Collective, hosting their quiz show about food, “Eaters” and joining their “Terrorist Training School.” 
• He has collaborated with cult popstar Ze Rebelle and noise-rapper Simo Soo. 
• He’s been welcomed into the top cabaret rooms in London, including the David Lynch-themed institution "The RR Club." 
• He’s crowdsurfed naked on a crowd of naked people. 

Ford tours a diverse repertoire of shows that show different, but equally ridiculous and uncomprimising sides of himself. His live solo shows, or “Bubble Baths,” see him performing remixes of songs from his whole career, bizarre cover versions and spinning his own bootlegs of his fellow cult queer icons. He takes on the persona of a scoutmaster amidst a nervous breakdown and queer awakening for his unplugged “Campfire Ukulele Torture” jamborees. There’s the aforementioned smash comedy nightclub “Crap Music Rave Party”. He’s also got his musical spy thriller “Chase!” up his sleeve, which is slowly being developed as a film project.

When the pandemic firebombed his career as it did everyone else’s, Ford responded by scheduling a hectic schedule of livestreams. His “Have A Bath With Me?” shows saw him croon his subversive pop songs from the safety of his bathtub, for audiences at home in tubs of their own. The show (virtually) toured festivals around the world before evolving into a fully fledged, Beyoncé-style visual album. 

After an early version of it debuted at Perth’s Revelation Film Festival, his life underwent the overdue implosion many people have experienced over the last few years. So he spent 2022 squirrelled away to work on making sure the bath he’d made was as warm as possible for everyone. Now it’s ready.
