Bridging his last few years in Shanghai and his first couple in the U.S., the debut EP on Gully Riddim from the now New York-based Naaah leans into the sorts of bright, playful melodies that have become a characteristic of his music, all the while keeping in place harder-edged, percussive club sounds. Operating at and just above the 100bpm mark, the tracks channel post-Bala Club sonics as well as tuffer drum trax, but with a shifting mood across the EP. With its subtle nods to trap dancehall, opener "Environs" sounds like it would be equally at home in Portmore as it would a London basement rave, while "Ta Me Duck" is just pure exuberance. Hitmakerchinx-indebted "Thx Ross" then pays tribute to a Shanghai club scene stalwart, before "Pilipala" dives deep into a nimble dancefloor workout.

Joining from South Korea and Japan respectively, dBoi! and Keito both up the tempo for their remixes but take the originals in radically different directions, with the former offering an expansive take on "Environs" underpinned by lurching 808s. The TYO Gqom member, meanwhile, lives up to his party's ethos, adding drums worthy of a Durban taxi to "Ta Me Duck" but maintaining — and twisting — its ear-worm melody to create a fresh take on the South African genre. Gully Riddim co-boss Zean then rounds out the release with a crystalline interpretation of "Pilipala" primed for — initially at least — eyes-down club moments.

Juki P2 is a new audio-visual project from Pamela Méndez in collaboration with Tim Walsh (The Stepkids / Stones Throw) and Adrien Guerne.

Pamela Méndez made a name for herself in Switzerland as an extremely versatile singer and songwriter and music producer. She is also known for her activism in the fields of gender equality and equality in general organizing events, and workshops in her hometown, Bern Switzerland.

Electro Funk meets Hyperpop and Footwork on "Off We Go". The release marks Juki P2's debut on Moveltraxx. Expect a remix from a Chicago legend following shortly

As we’ve all seen Tāmaki Makaurau has suffered massive devastation after the floods a few weeks ago with the good people of the north being heavily affected with some losing their homes & entire livelihood’s including lots of dear friends & whanau of The Big Fresh Collective - We turned to local artists & businesses to donate a bit of their time and support to a great cause in order to raise some funds for those in need ❤

Footmahi For Tāmaki Makaurau is a non for profit, Footwork & Juke inspired compilation album where artists from all over Aotearoa & the rest of the world have donated tracks in support of The Victims of the recent floods and the people of Tāmaki Makaurau.

The compilation is centered around raising money for the victims of the floods and also restoring a bit of love and happiness back through the way we know best; with good music!

Created on a $0 budget with tracks donated from acclaimed artists locally and abroad; The compilation will be available under a name-your-own-price deal on Bandcamp which means you get to choose how much you want to donate towards the cause and you receive a high-quality download of the album - 100% of profits will be going directly to The Auckland City Mission  ❤
