Tentative is a view down the lens of dubstep in a universe where its inception reflected a modern utopia as opposed to the bleak and discouraging cityscapes of South London. The track grips onto the quintessential halftime 2-step and hollow echoed percussion, but complements with psychedelic scattered vocal samples and airy, nostalgic pads.

or Maloca's 9th installment, Le Motel returns to his own imprint and joins forces with UK's versatile pidgin rap experimentalist Magugu. After their 2021 Shoalin collaboration, these 2 prolific artists embark on a new musical voyage. Their upcoming 4-track EP “Kindness Weakness” carefully intersects Bass, UK Garage, Grime and Jungle.

Magugu is a Nigerian poet who fluently unifies Afrobeat, Dancehall with Grime and Drum and Bass. While performing Magugu raps in Pidgin, which is an English-based creole language spoken in Nigeria. For more than a decade he's been making a name for himself as a Cardiff-based artist with a distinguishable raw voice. After numerous releases on his own imprint GUGUGANG Records, the Pidgin Rap Guru also released on cutting-edge labels like Deep Medi Musik and Critical Music and has worked with significant artists like My Nu Leng, Phase and Chad Dubz.

On Topper is a Jungle/Baile anthem about reaching goals in life, regardless of who steps in your way. Blend is about being an individual that doesn’t fit in with the crowd. Everyone should make their own decisions. Kindness Weakness refers to the fact that some people view kindness as a weakness. Yet everybody has had their share of dark moments too. The final track portrays the softer side of the duo's artistic versatility. A laid back UK Garage groove accompanied by Magugu's soothing voice. Let me down represents finding inner peace and creating your own happiness because in life there are too many people who will let you down. This one goes out to making a promise to yourself and never giving up.

Launched in 2020, Maloca Records aims to bring together an international network of artists. Maloca Vol. 1, featuring tracks by Nick León, OMAAR, DJ JM, Dengue Dengue Dengue, Coen, DJ N.K. and Tsongo. Maloca has also released solo EP's from Howie Lee, Farsight, Griffit Vigo, DJ JM and Yuto Takei.

As we’ve all seen Tāmaki Makaurau has suffered massive devastation after the floods a few weeks ago with the good people of the north being heavily affected with some losing their homes & entire livelihood’s including lots of dear friends & whanau of The Big Fresh Collective - We turned to local artists & businesses to donate a bit of their time and support to a great cause in order to raise some funds for those in need ❤

Footmahi For Tāmaki Makaurau is a non for profit, Footwork & Juke inspired compilation album where artists from all over Aotearoa & the rest of the world have donated tracks in support of The Victims of the recent floods and the people of Tāmaki Makaurau.

The compilation is centered around raising money for the victims of the floods and also restoring a bit of love and happiness back through the way we know best; with good music!

Created on a $0 budget with tracks donated from acclaimed artists locally and abroad; The compilation will be available under a name-your-own-price deal on Bandcamp which means you get to choose how much you want to donate towards the cause and you receive a high-quality download of the album - 100% of profits will be going directly to The Auckland City Mission  ❤

Joining Ommaya from CDMX, we’re thrilled to welcome Seli to the label for her new project, Lateral Alice. Written more than 2,000 meters above sea level in the forests of Tapalpa near Guadalajara, misty pine-covered highlands whose essence bleeds into the music, the EP radiates an atmosphere that envelops its laser-laden, breaky soundscapes. With glitched-out vocals commanding lines of zappy audio circuitry and unrelenting sub, each track is an experience unto itself.

On remix duties, Guadalajara-based artist Buena Tarde reimagines Usual Salt as a half-to-full-time head knocker, oozing with balanced dread and wonder. For the second remix, Ommaya co-head Sawyer James realigns Haloclina’s rattling percs and alchemizes them into razor-sharp fangs.
