Oatmeal for Cowards

Stevie Summers is a talented multi-instrumentalist capable of producing thought provoking songs in a unique style. Often blending genres together, his songs and lyrics will give a unique feeling in the listeners heart and brain. Hints of jazz, rock, shoe gaze, and hip hop appear in shattered glimpses across a tasteful sonic landscape.

Beautifully layered guitars complement deep bass grooves against percussion that slaps. All the while, Summers’ voice is breaking through the static delivering cryptic metaphors that alternate between the deep and the absurd.

Influenced by the likes of Modest Mouse, Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, Yeat, Ray Lamontagne, Beatles, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin, Summers is like a throwback from the future. A note to our future selves that at once feels old and very new.
