Our first exclusive Field Day mix of 2011 comes from one of the UK's most talented producers, an all-round musical prodigy who's regularly called upon by Brian Eno to add his studio flair to acclaimed productions by the likes of Wild Beasts, Four Tet and the ambient maestro's solo work. As a producer in his own right, he's released a succession of experimental electronic albums for Domino and promises that his afternoon set at Field Day will consist of "massively inappropriate rave". Field Day mix 01 - Jon Hopkins

Hard to believe that another year has already passed by. Decided to mix another one of these on account of the fair amount of good music we've been blessed with this year. I've taken a different approach with this one. I'm usually very meticulous when it comes to compiling my mixes (last year's mix took me 8 months to put together) but i've decided to mix this one on the fly with no pre planned tracklist. The tracks that made it into the mix are the ones that always sounded fresh even after several listens. Anyway i'll shut up now, i hope you guys enjoy the mix and a big thank you goes out to everyone who has supported me this year :)
