In 1979 RSkott ( Richard Scott Rusch )began making noise out of high school playing guitar in a punk rock band from Port Huron,Michigan called the ‘Decline’. Influenced by artists like Dome,TG,Spk,MB and Whitehouse he started recording under the name ‘Screw Machine’(the name coming from his factory job as a Screw Machine operator).After meeting Lon C Diehl, the two formed S/M Operations. They soon formed (with Carl Nordstrom) the pioneering American Industrial band HUNTING LODGE.
Scott performed and recorded with HUNTING LODGE until the late ‘80’s. He later performed and recorded under the names Demolition Addiction and ULTRAWIPE.
After moving to Los Angeles in the early ‘90’s Skott  recorded with John Napier( Ethyl Meatplow ) on the ECOLI release, ‘To Drool’.
In 1998 he joined the Los Angeles space rock band FARFLUNG. He co-wrote and played guitar on FARFLUNG’s 2000 release, ‘When Science Fails’,and wrote with FF, the song ‘9 Pin Body’.
While in FARFLUNG, Skott  and  Grenas made recordings under the name FERMALOY.  During this time he also played and  recorded with Nik Turner( Hawkwind ) and Hans Joachim Roedelius( Cluster ).His  guitar treatments can also be found on the Lydia Lunch w/the Anubian Lights release, ’Champagne,Cocaine&Nicotine Stains
