🐙 It’s always great to hear a new track from The Blue Sextapus. After an excellent 2016 full of top quality releases, all in his own individual and unique style, The Blue Sextapus returns for his first track of 2017 with “Tentacles.”

A subtle, melodic introduction welcomes us to this atmospheric track with a stuttering, flanged bassline and glowing melody, before the melody and bassline both build up strongly and drop into a distorted and bouncy drop. I’m a huge fan of the distortion used by The Blue Sextapus in this track, again showing his ability to create new, inspiring sounds and a genre all his own. A second breakdown re-introduces the shiny synth melody a top a stuttering bassline chord progression. Another unique build takes us to the second, rage-inducing drop full of perfectly distorted synth work and a bouncy low-end.
