Highly influenced by early 1980’s electronic music and classic 90's trance, Emilio Van Rijsel from Lille, France, debuts on Italo Moderni with energetic Moroder-esque propelling bass lines next to epic synth patterns and hypnotic sounds. With “Tendre Furie EP”, Emlio van Rijsel offers a glimpse of the wide array of his influences, embarking us on a synthful romantic & melancholic journey, depicting the nostalgia of missed blissful raving nights. Remixes duties fall to Raw Union man St. Theodore, who replaces those italo trance flourishes with the strobe-lit pulse of Giallo and master producer Daniel Monaco the layers of well-informed 80s synth wave sends us into another dimension with high energy vibes.

The idea behind the Impact collection is to highlight the dance floor's importance as a place for creative thinking, sexual liberation and multicultural amplification. This was brought into sharp relief during lockdown when Jorkes and Lisa Jäger had to cancel their HOT all-gender sauna parties in Vienna. It left them and their community with nowhere to go and gave rise to ‘Impact’, as well as discussions at the WAF Galerie that Lisa co-curates. Each volume has come in tandem with its own talk with subjects including 'clubs as places for freedom and emancipation.'

This final volume opens up with Rotciv. He is well known to heady crowds at places like Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson and the Cocktail D’Amore parties, and also runs the Mister Mistery label when he blends acid, techno, electro and disco. 'Dirty Coast' is a rugged and twisted dark disco stomper with flashes of synth, gurgling bass and trippy electronics.

Stefan Haag aka Chinaski aka S-F-X is a sound and visual artist, a resident at Robert Johnson and a regular on the Frankfurt club's own imprint. His excellent 'Power, Flower, Violence and Shower' shoots for the stars with its cosmic synth rays, colourful disco arps and elastic bass ensuring you move every bone in your body.

Born in Rome, now based in Florence, Matisa has long been attuned to the intersection of music and style and has shown it in her music on labels like Optimo Music, Biologic Records and Butter Sessions. Her 'Supernova' is a supersized track with big piano chords, techno drums and chopped-up vocals all bringing the party.

Mexico's Zombies In Miami are label regulars and live artists with a dark and alluring club sound. With 'One More Time' they take the dance floor on a widescreen trip to the cosmos with rugged basslines, chattery claps uplifting old-school chords.

Last of all comes another friend of the label in Vienna-based Greek artist NIKKNAME who alongside Jorkes has released on Curses’ Ombra INTL label. His nine-minute futuristic masterclass 'Seeing Morphs' layers up serene chords and smooth grooves that are ripe for introspection as well as heads-down dancing.
This fantastic final instalment completes the vital Impact series in style and once again comes with artwork from Daniel Rajcsanyi.

She couldn't recall a sunset so breathtaking; shades of purple, red, gold and orange seared through the sky, burning hot like the embers of a fire. It framed the desert, making the landscape feel a little less expansive and sprawling than it really was. This place was truly magical, it were as though the scenery was for her eyes only, a secret that nobody else was allowed to know.

Lithuania's Where Were We? are following up their last release from Azole with a stellar remix release. The duo's EP, Mr. Sutherland - a titular tip of the hat to the Australian keys maestro - was packed full of bouncy Italo jams and funky grooves, which get driven into more interstellar realms on this new package. All adept at manoeuvring in cosmic worlds, alongside alternate takes from Endrik Schroeder and Ivan Fabra, the label bring on board regular remixers Black Feeling and Romain Fx, who takes us on a joy ride through the desert with his "Valley of The Moon" remix.

Italo maestro Marcello Giordani shares the second slice of his upcoming LP “Advanced Process” delivering his signature, enticing approach to Italo Disco new and old.
We are given an insight into the producer’s abundant talent for driving warm basslines and infectious, glistening melodies.
Both vocal and instrumental versions drip with analogue warmth.
With crisp drum machines and soaring vocals from the legendary Fred Ventura throughout, ‘Mysterious Calls (In The Night)’ is a strong release laden with anguish for a missed joyride with Giordani along a moon lit Mediterranean coastline.

Slow Motion / Wrong Era head honcho Franz Scala changes the gear and ups the energy with a sizzling, pounding remix. A consistent driving bassline, pioneering percussion and intelligent synth lines reel you in from start to finish. Scala soundtracks the after-hours Marcello is driving to.

For our fourth release in our Frontline EP series, we continue to raise money for the Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust, a charity set up in the wake of Stephen Lawrence’s murder in a racist attack in 1993, that helps disadvantaged young people in the UK succeed in their careers, and works to remove systemic racism and discrimination in employment and the workplace (www.stephenlawrence.org.uk).

For this compilation we explore a variety of more club-ready, after hours tracks, from some seriously exciting artists. From face melting-breaks, ethereal ambient goodness and leftfield bass to italo chug and low-slung house, this EP has music for all hours of the day and night.

Following the success of the first two releases, Where Were We is back with the third one. This one is to commemorate the project's third birthday this February. Frenchman, Rennes-based, Blaise Balda will be a completely new name for the most, but ardent diggers already know that he did one release on REES' Paradiso Records a few months ago. Exploring and penetrating similar sonic avenues of it's predecessor, "Data Dreams" EP will take you on a wavy, retrofuturistic journey. Harnessing the computative power of quantum machines, blast-passing through myriads of electronic boards and circuits, it will carry you to a neon-lit metropolis from the future.
