Jay-J is a Grammy Nominee, a prolific producer and collaborator spanning over 200 releases, a self-taught studio demon, inventor and ambassador of the San Francisco sound, an immensely popular and well-travelled DJ. He founded Moulton Studios, the West Coast's beehive and most influential dance music studio, had his own Coke® bottle for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, was the DJ for the 2006 MTV® AVMAs and launched two comp series for Defected Records, UK. He’s remixed artists from Alicia Keys, Jill Scott to Joss Stone and has collaborated with producers from Kaskade to Miguel Migs.   
Jay-J is a self-proclaimed studio geek and loves nothing more than talking about production ideas, software, plug ins, and audio hardware, except for maybe playing good parties and the “good old days” of record stores and vinyl.
Jay-J's DJ'ing continues to change and evolve, all the while displaying his sharp focus on soul, energy, proper flow, and maximum dancefloor meltdown impact. He's held residencies in more states and countries than most people ever visit, giving him a keen instinct for the chemistry of a particular dancefloor. His mixed cd's for Defected (X’s 2), and Distance (FR), Loveslap and his imprint Shifted Music, show a sphere of influence that reaches well beyond the clubs. Jay-J has lit up such world class venues as Pacha (Ibiza), Zouk (Singapore), Home (Australia) and London's Ministry of Sound. He's showcased record release parties for Defected, Naked Music, OM and others. He's gigged in over 27 countries, and several years running has flown over 200,000 "DJ miles" per year to reach his ever widening club and party audiences all around the world.

Omar is the founder of the brand called Riviera Underground and Downtown Tulum Radio while a stalwart member of The BPM Festival since the very beginning. We had the chance this summer to connect the two brands together and the collaboration still continues and we are super excited about the next year's plans!

Over the last decade, BPM parties were hosted both day and night at multiple venues. In 2017, The BPM Festival announced expansions with events being held in September in Portimão, Portugal and Tel Aviv, Israel. Newly announced, BPM returns for its winter edition in its new home of Tamarindo, Costa Rica from January 15-19, 2020.
