Nexe label owners, NX1 teamed up with the British techno head Rommek, to configure a pure class and fearless four track EP entitled 'Foreign Bodies'.
The A side kicks off with 'Foreign Bodies 1' , a dense broken cluster of sonics, with fat bass, tense atmospheres and layered whispers that trap you from the very beginning.
Next up is 'Foreign Bodies 2', Razor-sharp and raw, yet hypnotic with a distinct techno pad that cuts through the mix.
On the B side you will find 'Foreign Bodies 3' that holds the tension. Electrifying synths and percussions, bold and powerful with an industrial feel.
The release is finalised with 'Foreign Bodies 4', which pushes things even harder ! Breaks slice through the twisted sound design and distortion, a perfect “closing to the core” to finish this high voltage collaboration EP.

Counterweight welcomes to the label the rising Berlin artist Opål with this excellent 4-Track EP accompanied by a PVS remix 

The title track, Luminescence, is a rough and hard hitting 4/4 warehouse destroyer. “Impala” reduces the tension and shows a more melodic side of the artist but still keeping his characteristic industrial touch. On the B side Opål shows what is the definition of “driving” Techno with “Eclipse”, this is simply amazing. The last track is an absolutely outstanding remix by the Italian artist PVS, who explores new atmospheric shapes and goes beyond simple 4/4 structures.

Dictated by an ethos of exclusively recording live takes and the only ever editing happening while a tune is being created, each finished track is imbued with that unique magic of the moment.

Such too is the nature of Monism, Search‘s first LP in over two decades of electronic explorations and personal as well as artistic growth. As with any of his music that has been released so far, the tracks on here hold a timeless quality, existing within their own frame of reference than – that is their immediate experience.

Across a carefully arranged course, the album naturally unravels its many ideas, ranging from moments of pensive ambient pieces to thick washes of dub echo and layers of modulated synths, all while providing an endless array of hypnotizing bare-bone grooves in the process.
