Vercauteren has been coming up really fast in the international techno scene with his tracks being played by the likes of SPFDJ, AnD, and Regal to name a few - which helps explain his quickly growing career. When he’s behind the decks, Vercauteren usually starts his sets at 145 BPM minimum and likes to take it up from there, known for saturated kicks and warped acid lines destined for warehouses and large-capacity parties.

After his two outstanding contributions to Vitus' Curse: Sonus Noctis and "Vitus' Curse: Sonus Diei" young talent Talfelt now reappears for his first official solo EP coming on Vitus' Curse. While also setting the second milestone for the label with its first EP he provides a forward- thinking and high-contrast trip through the many facets of Techno with a great sense for aesthetics - as usual, hardware-based, only. 'Troffea' is the origin of Vitus' Curse and centuries later once again the beginning of a long story for the years to come. Brace yourselves. 
As opening of the EP "Troffea" starts with a dinstinctive groovy bassline, smooth but driving percussions, and an almost quirky touch until everything in it falls right into place with a wonderfully iridescent pad taking the mood on a whole new level. With its ecstatic finale that just feels like sunrise it is made to mesmerize en the audience in a seldom uplifting way. 
Coming in with heavy drive Talfelt's "Lost Voices" creates a uniquely dystopian and atmospheric vibe following a darker slightly approach. Pounding drum rhythms, thrilling arpeggios, and whispering vocal shots dissolve into cinematic chord progressions and an excitingly ambivalent mood - original and highly effective. 
"Duende" quickly sucks the listener right into a delightfully nostalgic story spiked with a variety of facets - vivid but still coherent. Captivating and expressively it blazes the way for a heightened state of emotion on the dancefloor. Accompanied by lashing and atmospheric drum patterns and crafted with seamless transitions it surely is one to remember. 
Fast forward, rhythmically and with a compelling symbiosis of arpeggio, drums and percussions "Ritus" shall activate every gathering. Hypnotic and pumping patterns make it a bassline-driven peak time stomper that keeps up momentum from end to end and letting the audience fall into total trance. 
As final complement to this selection, Talfelt delivers a moody and nicely melancholic gem for special moments and perfect closing vibes. With organic propelling drums and its beautiful pad embedded in an interesting atmosphere "Motus Chao" genuinely rounds up Vitus' Curse's first EP with stylistic command and lasting impression.

'16th July 2021 sees the unrelenting Rome-based DJ/producer and label owner Frankyeffe back on his very own Riot Recordings label with a powerful 3-track EP entitled, ‘Generation ’85’.  

This essential offering is the prolific Italian’s first EP of the year on Riot Recordings and follows previous 2021 releases such as his acclaimed ‘Chance’ EP on Sam Paganini’s JAM, his ‘Pacha 08’ remix on Riot’s sister label RXC and his stomping ‘Higher’ single collaboration with Teenage Mutants on Riot Recordings.  

‘Generation ’85’, the EP’s title track, kicks things off delivering a heavy-hitting techno workout laced with simple but effective trance-tinged elements that help give the track a nod to the past (hence the track’s name). ‘Basic’ is next up which continues the mayhem by taking things up a notch with its TB-303 acid squelches and gated synthline. The EP concludes in fine fashion with ‘Blocked’, increasing the intensity yet again and driving the release home to a pounding acid-laden climax. 

‘Generation ’85’ EP will be available digitally from 16th July 2021 via Riot Recordings.      '

The roads were closed at every turn, there was no way out of this god forsaken place. Huge barricades blocked off each street, even the alley ways had been shut off with makeshift blockades. They'd gone round in circles for hours and hours trying to make their escape; for now they'd managed to give whoever was trailing them the slip, but they couldn't guarantee they wouldn't be found again.

After five successful stints, Mexico's Duro return for instalment number six of their flagship VA series 'Muy Duro'. As always they welcome a collection of artists who have a synergy with the label and its mission; both old faces and new. This time round they feature contributions from ID_UA & Berny, Hard Fist co-founder Cornelius Doctor, Alvaro Cabana, Colossio and Le Dame Noir's Arthur Johnson, who bring their signature sonic touches with sounds ranging from dark disco to broken beats and synth-driven electronics.

Unconfined continue their four-part label launch with the second, evolution-inspired

compilation ‘Tendency Towards Complexity’ Upon its debut release in September, Unconfined affirmed itself as one of the most ambitious electronic music labels around right now. With an emphasis on authenticity, the label’s only agenda is to set a limitless creative trajectory for its artists. Hailing from Turin to Taiwan; from Dublin to Bosnia, producers releasing on the Glasgow-born label are handed complete control over their releases, resulting in a sonic output that is truly organic, genre-defying and driven only by sound.

Now, the label is gearing up to unleash the second in its monster launch series featuring eight tracks from a global cast of artists working on the cutting edge of electronic music production. Inspired by life’s perpetual motions, cycles and processes - from the sprouting of a plant to the progression of a piece of art - the upcoming Various Artists compilation, entitled ‘Tendency Towards Complexity’, is an exploration of evolution.

The final track Vortex comes from London-based producer Charlie Sparks who boasts previous releases on labels like MOTZ, Insane Industry, Autektone and Naked Lunch. Influenced by old school techno, psytrance and European techno, Vortex concludes the compilation with six minutes of raw, unforgiving energy.
