This is a very personal release, loaded with intense emotions and omens. Heavy and smooth at the same time, rhythmic and melodic alike.

There are four tracks but they are also one, if you listen carefully. "Eternal Sunshine" opens the list with percussions that play together and synth notes with vocal samples that trace the course of the story. "I've Never Felt That Before" denotes a great influence from Breakbeat and stands out for its melancholic synth line and ancestral pads that seem to cry. "Cause You Asked For It" is a more visceral and physical track that uses the classic rhythmic pattern of Techno oriented for clubs and other venues. "Canción De Despedida" is a more introspective and experimental cut that transports us to other planes and invites to delve into the most remote corners of our minds.

Each track tells a story, a moment, those feelings that we cannot avoid so easily. It is a parenthesis to immortalize a memory and at the same time the closing of a period very well lived.

'Under The Skin EP'

Giselh is back on Skryptöm with ‘Under The Skin’, EP announcing his debut album (February 2022). The French-born, Swiss-based producer delivers a diverse and eclectic EP, ranging from ambient, breakbeat to techno.

Opening the EP ‘Strobos’ is a collaboration with Ôtanô, sound designer behind the Cocon project: a sound installation, visual and olfactory, intended for live performance, composed of a vibrating sound floor encircled by a system of multi-diffusion speakers and a panoramic screen. Ambient and cinematic, this track gets a deep acid rework by the one and only Stanislav Tolkchev.

Leaning towards one of Giselh’s main influence: Detroit, ‘Under The Skin’ or ‘So’ bring the tempo up. Things get deeper on the hypnotic grooves of ‘Tellurium’, while French newcomer BXTR (Raw / Primus) delivers an unexpected breakbeat version of the track.

With a focus on hypnotic but driving techno, the release features two tracks each from the label founders. Respectively the 2 artists have released on labels such as Key Vinyl, Hayes, ARTS, Krill and more and have built a reputation for powerful, complex productions. 

For their first collab EP, Existence Is Absurd, we get two originals from each artist - taking us on an odyssey though driving, hypnotic and trippy techno. Tracks that are ready for the dance floor and to get lost in a meditative session. Today we premiere, “Consciousness”, one of Macdonald’s tracks which kicks off the EP perfectly with its driving, relentless energy and pulsating charges.
