He is back on his self-titled imprint with five mesmerising techno cuts featuring remixes from PoleGroup’s Kwartz and Soma’s Temudo. ASEC delivers his driving and expansive electronic music vision, consisting of dark textures, idiosyncratic melodies and dynamic drum sounds. We premiere today "High Tool", a work that maneuverers between hypnotic atmospheres and dark, ominous textures balanced with ghostly pads and thudding percussion with emphatic frequencies.

PREMIERE: ASEC - High Tool (ASEC004)

Hailing from Vilnius, Lithuania, Arnas’ passage into underground music was built upon his formative time spent on London’s dancefloors where he now resides. Drawing inspiration from a childhood background in jazz, his work navigates a mixture of personal influences with clean, low-end grooves, off-beat rhythms, moody and mental melodies and layered hi-hats to craft effective dancefloor experiences: directed by ethereal atmospheres and driving rhythms. Arnas’ sound is most inspired by the marathon sets from masters of the craft such as DVS1, Takaaki Itoh and Peter Van Hoesen, as well as the new breed of fast and groovy techno that has been making waves in the scene recently.

Release starts with “ One In A Million “ an ambient track with which Albert intends to immerse the listener into an interstellar journey through the outer space.” Strength “ follows, funked up dark progressions, shuffled sub bass and strings sequences floating randomly over the groove.  “ Bullshit “ is the third track, beefing the kick, distorting the feel and looping the arrangement in a proper tooly exercise. “ Arpeggio Madness” is a loopy and raw , strange/trippy touch. Closing the release “ Uncertainly ” is a nineties infused track, with a precision loop flying over a constantly moving arrangement, spiced with classic Roland drums and analogue synth lines.

Dedication and commitment could define Albert's work in recent years, where he has seen first-rate labels open their doors to him. Albert is an outstanding student of the production courses that Joton teaches in his studio and it is a total pleasure for us to see him grow in his career. This ep called "one in a Million" is a good proof of that. Enjoy!
