Premiere: The Spy - Interruption [KRI008]

Our third vinyl release lands just before the close of the year and it is a special one. Petros Spatharos leads with a set of bangers distilling perfectly the sound of the label. Athens-based artist is widely known for his dark, immersive industrial sound, so yeah expect nothing less.

Side A starts with ”Datura”, layering heavy drums with dark reeses and syncopations - solid stuff. ”Xorkia” is an eyes-down track which will keep you in the zone with stellar percussion and atmosphere. ”Vultures” closes the first side with higher energy levels and more distinct breakbeat elements.

On Side B, Randstad remixes ”Datura” and pumps up the tempo to create a mind-bending industrial electro track with aggressive synths. Boris Barksdale wrap-ups the physical release by remixing ”Xorkia” and changing the core to techno while reworking percussion to create an industrial heavy-hitter track.

On top of this, ”Reformer” from Petros Spatharos has been added to the release as a digital bonus which you can download exclusively from our Bandcamp page.

Slowed + Reverb: The Mixes, Vol. 2

It's Complicated (Instrumental) [Slowed + Reverb]

There's a good bunch of intense, dark and extreme, grinding electro-techno gems on the "Raval Rave Breakers" first compilation. While Boris Divider's 'Collapsed Cluster' recalls of the more clinical approach of labels like Raster-Noton, Eel manages to deliver a fresh mix of styles on 'Sraight Edge', where Old Skool Breakbeat and EBM draw an unforgettable match made in heaven. Last track on the A side comes from Classicworks boss Neuhen, but is Patricia (Opal Tapes, Spectral Sound) who remixes it: in "Supress" we can find all the magic tricks of the NYC based producer: eery atmospheres, gently distorted drums and a warm feeling of cozyness. On the flip, RNXRX delivers "Aktion Intertia", one of the most psychedelic jams he's ever did: an industrial acid track as catchy as it can be. Oakland's "Heroine From The North" sounds a bit like when New Beat became faster and more agressive, being mixed with styles like EBM and trance.

A2 - EEL - STRAIGHT EDGE

Right before its release we give you a track from Gamma Intel‘s third EP on the list - Automatic Illusion, which is a second one on Brokntoys label.

Fata M is a rhythmic trip that leads through a path of haunting vails, saturated with deep atmospheric sounds. It occupies the body and mind alike to move along the composition until the track reaches its finale.
