The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from C4AT. ‘’When The Crowd Leaves’’ comes off the debut album, Strahov, by the Czech producer and rising techno talent. This is a noisy industrial track spiced up with effective screams and factory-like screeches echoed in the distance. C4AT is part of Organizovaný Plevel collective, fresh new blood in harder corners of Prague club scene.

The album was produced in studio space in Strahov (hence the title), the largest stadium ever built that used to serve for displaying synchronized gymnastics (Spartakiads)on a massive scale which was organized by the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. This concrete monster of a structure definitely made a mark in the desolate and aggressive feeling of the album. Heavy, bare to the bones structures, evil and unnerving.

The album will be released on cassette and digital on May 7 by Wrong, the Prague-based DIY collective, label and event series promoter focusing on industrial, techno, harsh club, evil rave, EBM, hardcore and weird experimental music. Founded in 2016 by Trauma, HYΛEN, Jim Hate, Tomáš K. and Ver.

After three years in the pipeline, it’s about time for the KATRAN full-time debut album: Darko Kolar of ONTAL dishes out an instant industrial techno classic, eleven tracks of no-nonsense hard-hitting assaults with four prolific guests bringing their very own sound to extend the musical range of “Above the Concrete“ in a most intriguing way. Expect no moments of rest, surrender to the force of banging repetitive power branded with a brave scrape-and-burn musical edge. With a new version of his 2019 FORMS OF HANDS compilation track “Mirror Reflection” Kolar dives straight into the driving dance floor material that he has been cutting his teeth on the half dozen KATRAN tracks released so far and takes it from there: Pristine sound design, various flavours of the almighty kick drum and traces of melodic ambience, floating above the industrial shrieks and screeches that litter the album. The four tracks that have been produced in collaboration promise stimulating diversion: “Isolation” with Spanish DJ/producer SURIT evolve around a slow, pronounced bass line and suggests some deceptive calm, former Ad Noiseam act FAUSTEN tear up the rhythmic structure of “Envenomation” and conjure up chaos, French veteran ELEKTROPLASMA contribute some hardcore flavour to “Disruption” and “Sudden Closure” features noise legend KK NULL with uncontrollable outbursts of industrial debris. Loop-based, repetitive industrial techno with an edge is a time-honoured and accustomed tradition that HANDS has been fostering since ORPHX’s 1999 classic “Vita Mediativa”, and “Above the Concrete” follows in those footsteps. Strong rhythmic energy to work up a sweat meet nuanced and layered sounds that elevate this album above the functional, above the concrete.

Forming a full cycle, Polanski returns to the Instinct Series with a dance floor-ready yet an introspective selection of works. Each of the three tracks were built for an extended period of time, between 2022/23 in his London studio. The final product weaves-in a mixture of raw modular sound-bites coupled with pulsating rhythms. The extensive use of field recordings form heavy atmospheres that are often accompanied by his own voice, sound objects and underlying drones. On occasions the fluctuating sounds have outbursts of sonic tantrums, activating a cerebral response. A state where rhythms are not obliged to strictly follow the tracks and transients are bent without any rules. Schranz is the way

Italian producer Hålbå displays granular textures and dystopian grooves to embody his vision of an uncertain future. Through drone-like rumbles and syncopated kick drums he conveys ideas of chaos despair and distress. Above foggy and intoxicating sonorities, martial and syncopated percussions keep the tracks moving forward.

Raw and industrial sounds immersed in dark ambiances characterize the sound of Hålbå. He intends to transport you in his world and tell you some stories focused on society's decay and its consequent uncertain future. Chaos, despair, and distress are some of the feelings that the artist tries to convey on his productions, a result of a depth study of audio techniques and audio synthesis combined of a continuous evolution on experimentation new sonorities.
