French label Sharped Records has discovered a new artist with a great ability to design a style that rides between techno and EBM. This producer is called Nuel, this is his first release and his motto is not to follow the herd, but to explore the infinite possibilities that music offers you. Like the label itself, I think that more and more of us think that originality and enjoying what you do is the most important thing to have a healthy music scene, in which each musician or user can feel free to adopt their own criteria.

Uncultured is a title that can perfectly suggest this relationship that many believe exists between quality and success. Success is mostly subordinated to the standards demanded by the market, but it doesn't have to be a quality product, and this is something that happens very often nowadays, as marketing campaigns are the ones that define what the public should consume. 

This 6-track album features 4 original tracks and two covers by The Undertaker's Tapes and WhyAml. The album shows the skill of this artist to impose a hard character, with a strong punch, imposing bass lines and diverse influences from genres such as psytrance, from which he rescues the hypnotism and some textures that remind us of goa.

With a background in classical music and violin she fuses a sophisticated blend of broken beats, supernatural textures, crystalline melodies, ethereal vocal cut-ups and intricate percussion to create a dream-like work consisting of 5 original tracks. As she explains: “Siren Song is an attempt to distance myself a bit from the dancefloor tracks , the idea was to make something more mysterious and not rigidly grounded into reality or the typical club format.” Also included is a remix of the track “Lovers Cannot See” by SARIN.

Greek-born DJ and producer Alex π is the founder of Pi Electronics label and event series, as well as co-founder of record label Modal Analysis. He is an adept of many genres, ranging from industrial, techno, EBM and electro to ambient, experimental and noise. Under his moniker 3.14, he has numbered releases on venerated imprints such as Amok Tapes, CLFT, MORD, Khemia, Area Z, Gwi Myeon, the 29Nov Films and System Revival. In the post pandemic era, he releases his archive of productions from the years 2016 - 2021 : a blend of Techno/EBM influences, with processed vocals and noisy textures, in a ’song’ like structure. Aiming to crossover the 80s aesthetic to a techno type of production using machines of the '10s, the concept here is to avoid the sounding of a tool track while still staying within the boarders of dance-floor minded music. The archives will be released in two instalments: Part I on Tripalium Corp and Part II on Soil records.

Amsterdam based Phases Records first release is a carefully curated V.A. comprised of six original tracks that illustrate and radiate the curated sound, vision and atmosphere of the imprint. The V.A. combines genre-bending music from six different artists, exploring the broad sonic landscape of electro-industrial dance music, pushing boundaries in sound, without breaching the sanctity of the dance floor. Features tracks by New York techno legend and owner of Sonic Groove records Adam X,  Mannequin records boss Alessandro Adriani, Maedon (Sonic Groove), 3.14 (Pi Electronics, Modal Analysis), E-bony (PAG TLV) and Chloe Lula (Aufnahme + Wiedergabe).

Today we present Maedon's "Relentless", a killer acid injected body techno work with unrelenting energy, perfect for a sultry dance floor. The interplay between the clean and hammering percussive elements, a forward-driving main synth line and heavy breathing vocal samples, make this a track to fall back on for when the time comes to call out the demons.
