Drawing rich inspiration from the old-school EBM sound of the late '90s and early 2000s, SMFORMA breathes new life into a classic genre. "It's a Weird Place" examines the changing nature of water, where solidity melts into liquidity, stillness ripples into motion, and form dissolves into formlessness.
This EP delves deep into themes of freedom, challenge, and understanding differences. It’s about embracing change, experiencing emotions, acknowledging duality, and the desire to connect, advance, and grow.
Each track is a repetitive, empowering mantra that is designed to immerse listeners in a flowing, rhythmic experience that is both grounding and liberating, reflecting the paradoxical nature of water itself.

"Xirxe is a hymn to weirdness, to the monstrous feminine. An overturning of the vision of the woman-victim that comes to us from Greek mythology, in which courage to distance oneself from toxicity is interpreted as escape, weakness. In which defiance of patriarchal Olympian rules is seen as an act of vicious disobedience and not as vindication of one’s own choices. Xirxe takes a voice, recounts her choices, her courage and her vulnerability. Through self-awareness, she moves her choices and shapes her surroundings, dancing around obstacles, defining limits to be defended at all costs if violated Every body, in order to be crossed, needs consent."

Suicide Disco (Veyl), one of our favorite albums of the last year, now gets a remix treatment from some of the most celebrated names across the industrial, techno and post-punk spectrums. Today we present the Orphx remix of “You Like It When It Hurts”, which takes the original and infuses the Canadian duo’s signature metallic, industrialized sound to create a tension building piece which beautifully catalyzes with Years of Denial’s dark romanticism.  The release also includes remixes from Silent Servant, Alexey Volkov and Broken English Club. Definitely a strong companion to an already smash album.
