The crystal shone brightly under the spotlight of the glass chamber. It sad proudly at the end of the long hall, the museums prized piece. For decades they had waited to display such a delicate stone, one of such power, importance and might. Kings and queens throughout the ages had sought its presence amidst their collection of jewels but none had triumphed over its great defender, its ruler. It was bound to only one, and now in the place where he was born it sat perched in his corridor. The museum was open, the crystal was alive. 
Here is the latest release from the Honey Soundsystem camp in full. It features remixes from Mike Servito and Gunnar Haslam.

Justin @Cudmore’s “Are You Ready” is the track that’s making you stay at the party long after you started saying you should really get home. Justin tells us that “Are You Ready” is the result of some early experimentation with the studio setup in his old apartment and one of the first white label acid tracks he began playing out, even before his popular debut for The Bunker NY, “Forget It” was released. “The elements came together quickly in an afternoon session -- I had been recently inspired by a trove of acapellas I’d come across. I would say this is when arranging the track really clicked and I started truly assembling it with the dance floor in mind.” Over the next two years, the track became a secret weapon that made its way into the hands of DJs like Craig Richards, Mike Servito, Jackmaster, Derek Plaslaiko and Gerd Janson, becoming something of a sleeper hit.

As Justin made more music and time progressed it seemed that there wasn’t a proper home for “Are You Ready” so he moved on to other projects and the track was shelved until 2018 when he heard Derek @Plaslaiko play it out again in Brooklyn and the idea for Derek to remix it was hatched. The sleazy vibe is timeless and time-suspending, rocking the darker corners of the afterhours with retro-minded, future-looking vibes. Plaslaiko’s remix ups the sleaze serving a dubbed out mood that brings to mind Monday morning sunrises in Detroit, while @gunnar_haslam’s treatment snaps us all out of it a bit by sharpening up the melody and bringing the percolating acid line to the fore.

Tresor Records is proud to present club resident Claudia Anderson’s new work “Synthesis”, as the first EP to be charted into its fabled catalog in 2019.

Claudia Anderson lives in Vienna where she gained experience at local raves and underground clubs, before becoming a Tresor resident in 2017.

In 2012, Anderson joined Singular, the Paris label headed by Tresor resident and recording artist Marcelus. “Hysteria” was celebrated as one of the most subtly produced records that year. Three years later, she followed with on Singular with “Liquid Forms”, pushing the definition of the deep forms of Techno which have become integrant part of her signature.

Since then, Tresor has worked closely with Claudia Anderson to develop her first treads on the label. The label’s 2017 “Dreamy Harbor” compilation featured Anderson’s track “Phase” next to luminaries such as Jon Hassell, Moritz von Oswald or Donato Dozzy, revealing an ever more hypnotic side of her work.

In a new step, and through the five tracks that build “Synthesis”, Claudia Anderson shows a sense of aplomb, that stands in balance with her natural and subtle sense of restraint.

V.C.V.S. was founded by Irakli Shonia and Sandro Kozmanishvili in Tbilisi, in 2016. After spending considerable time together in the studio, the debut CD album "Sections from the Imaginary Future" was released in May 2017 on label “Hanker”, containing more ambient/experimental music. After two intense years, Irakli and Sandro found new inspirations and ideas, which led them to return to the studio and record the EP called HUM in August 2018. 

DJ Sotofett made the AM MIX of Trapped in the Corner together with Kalifornia Keke.

September was, as always, a right picnic.

A picnic made whole by the mix of classic dishes, trusted and delicious, with the fresh new meat laid out on the Operator blanket. Yummy on the spread for me: whale song layered over wavy IDM by guest star Loma Doom during Dean High’s ‘Zen Wave,’ Jungle Boogie w/ Mowgli swinging unstoppable through the canapé, Bluets w/ Lilli Zylka, Kharma Radio and, somehow, even spicier than usual ribs from WAOWAO this month. Alongside these lay heaps of fantastic first jams on the station by Nelly Dragon, ARYNA and Frida to name just a few.

Today, however, I get to take home one dish only and it is this dreamy breakbeat course by YuBu. It brought me back into a free feeling of last summer and allowed me to float above the madness for an hour around my room during a rainy autumn day. That was a gift and I’m sure I’m not the only one who could benefit from it this week. I first heard YuBu play during a night in Amsterdam by Tropical Laser Storm, an event organizer you must check out as they are burning fire with guns on phase. Loving the glitchy flow I’ve heard from him so far and secretly waiting for Yubu b2b Peach.

The Reading Rooms. Underworld. Kings - The latter being the last man standing - are places that we don't really need to tell you about. If you know you know. And if you do know, you'll also know that that Red has been affiliated deep within all 3, with over a decade of dedication to keeping the local underground scene strong. 

Widely known for spinning 60s rarities, Red steps into unfamiliar sonic territories with a relatively new approach in both style and tempo. EBM, wave and analogue synthesisers included. Psychedelic dancefloor mayhem - we approve. 

To accompany the mix, Red has cut some hypnotic visuals from neo-noir cult classic, Lost Highway. Full video release to follow.
