Dropping in hot for our next "Selector" in our mix series we have good friend and prolific DJ - Annie Errez. Hailing from Leeds and a long serving resident of Mint Club & Warehouse she is renowned for her non-nonsene heads down body shaking rhythms.

Carefully curating this mix for us Annie wanted to do something different for us. So she has gone a little bit deeper, a little bit weird but with plenty of energy, and flows perfectly from start to finish.

This is a 7 part recording of my birthday party mix at Club Der Visionaere - Berlin, last summer. 
I started in the early afternoon hours and continued till late at night.
Instead of bringing my usual record bags I asked my friends to help me carry over two crates of records that may have collected some dust and a couple of scratches but had no expiration date. 
I was standing/dancing in place for hours, yet time traveling with every needle dropped.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.

About Gareth:
Digital creative type, gamer, music lover and occasional DJ. Currently living between Dubai & Seoul after setting sail from Sunderland in 2010.
