my favourite mix between the three.  they reminds me of clubs before  1988,  Great mix, selection is of the wall thanks for posting,  I lost the cd.

Must say loving it so far. Good recommendation!

Solid Steel (11th April) It's another special show this week, as we celebrate 30 years of Acid with an incredible mix by Posthuman to coincide with their last I Love Acid club night at Corsica Studios, London on Saturday 12th April. This is what they say about the mix;
"We put together this mix (with a little help from fellow I Love Acid residents Mark Archer & Placid) to celebrate 30 years of acid. 
We decided to pick one track per year, since 1984 - the year Roland stopped making the 303. Starting with Chicago House, expanding out into Detroit Techno and the evolutions in the acid sound from the UK & Europe, then into the late 90's Warp/Rephlex territory, right up to the present day."
The mix starts with Chris & Cosey's 1984 classic "Dancing Ghosts" and includes tracks from Phuture, 808 State, UR, Plastikman, AFX and Luke Vibert, who will be playing at the club night, plus their own new track 'Back to Acid'

Episode 5 'The Spacestation' Radio Show (18th Jun 2014)

Both parts of my set providing the soundtrack for the recent launch of a book by Kirk Field called Rave New World. I played either side of his appearance, and then edited them together at about 1 hour 23 minutes. As with all of my live mixes, there's a few clangers, and a few absolute genius transitions. I leave them all in to stay true to the original ethos of DJing where it's all about 'The Moment".

Big thanks to friend of the site and North East legend Mr. Antony Daly for recommending our very special 150th episode. As many will know, Daly's been djing and promoting around the North East of England since the mid 90's, particularly with his seminal Reverb and Suono parties which are nothing short of Newcastle folklore.

Right now, he's now busier than ever after opening the incredibly popular  586 Records (3rd Floor, Commercial Union House, Pilgrim Street, Newcastle). Which has become the go to place for vinyl collectors around the region full of classics from music's finest corners. The shops also moving into selling brand new wax so you're well covered.

Back in the Cologne Rave Club days I've got a copy of this very interesting mix by my DJ friend Claus Bachor. This tape recorded live via SONY tape-recorder-mic in january 1988, at Hamburg´s legendary Front club, showing 46 Minutes of universal House riddim glory by Germany´s one and only real DJ legend Klaus Stockhausen behind the decks. This mix is regretfully in very poor sound condition but is characterized by an extrem euphoric party atmosphere where the crowd screams partially as hell to outstanding House tracks from the late 80s. The Essential Mix is a weekly radio show on BBC Radio 1 currently broadcast between 0:00 - 2:00 AM UK time on Saturday morning. Originally broadcast on 30 October 1993, the Essential Mix features contemporary DJs and music producers of electronic dance music. The show has been presented since its inception by Pete Tong and features an uninterrupted two-hour mix from a different artist each week, overlaid with occasional continuity announcements delivered by Tong. With a broadcast run in excess of 25 years, the Essential Mix is one of the longest-running programmes in the current BBC Radio 1 schedule, and is one of very few Radio 1 shows which is not broadcast live.

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.
