I wrote this whilst hypnopompic in bed one morning in April 2021 along with The Law. Went downstairs and played this then immediately recorded hence the simplicity. 

"Morning Star" has more than one meaning but it is also the name of a pub I recommend visiting when in Lincoln.

Forged by fire and ice
Where the cobbles glow like embers
Even the bankers smiles seem nice
They’re shaking hands well with the bishop
Visiting eyes see through their lens
Do they imagine they're not peasants
That the Roman empire came to an end?
There are witches in the temple
Selling idols to the kids
The rosy cross-eyed noon sun
Sprinkles gold on their eyelids

As with Judas his Lords friend

Black magic in the symbols

The ravens and the drones are gliding
The judges are in the castle hiding
The law of the land's a man
That's why they're scared
The cannons outside the gates are smoking
The peacocks and the cats are choking
On the bile they spat out when they didn't care
The Templars by the tombs are stirring
The brews inside the pots are whirling
King Solomon's great army seems prepared
Big Brother's eye has become infected
There were thoughts Sauron never expected
Turns out the prophets were not so impaired
The prisoners are separated
The chief commander is frustrated
Love of enemies should be more rare
The Pipes of Pan betray a panic
Even atheists know they're Satanic
The Anti-Satan's waiting on his mare

Stained glass windows are exploding
The Pope's in Vatican tunnels loading
Ancient weapons of mass delusion with a flair
A uniting charming politician
Is holding to the globalist vision
People would have second thoughts 
But do not dare
The Third World War made tyranny look fine
Already common law was benign
The faithful aren't running tearing out their hair

They made me look like I'm a monster

Lost Cause

This is an old song that was orginally called 'Flowers in Your Head'  begun in the late 70s by my dad and his friend. He completed it in the 90s and recorded it with a local band (we can't fully remember it). Having not come up with much myself lately,  I was inspired again when remembering how much I liked this, so I re-wrote it again with some different words,  and probably ruined it. 
Melody by Rob Benson (Verse, Chorus) and The Cobbled Moth (Middle 8, or whatever its called). Lyrics by The Cobbled Moth, and Hoppo (who wrote the first verse and part of second).

Cooler is slang for jail. The Song of Songs is worth a study. Beno of LCR FM is in there and the Azerbaijan link.

I wrote this a couple of days ago and worked on the lyrics a bit then recorded just now on my phone. The starting point was thinking of a Syd Barrett lyric which mirrored Elvis "I don't care if the sun don't shine".
