This compilation is inspired by our collaboration with one of the most culturally relevant and timeless brands, Stussy. 

We've taken dozens of tracks into consideration to curate the finest selection of progressive music from around the world to bring visibility to the future sound. Because there is so much talent out there, it was challenging to pull this compilation together to showcase a progression and cohesive flow that reflects both Stussy and Soulection cultures respectively. 

You will see familiar official Soulection artists on this compilation as well some new talent from forward-thinking and ambitious producers, emcees and vocalists that we're excited about and feel have a bright future.

Our partnership with the iconic brand includes a 'Soulection Tribe' limited t-shirt designed by Stussy as well as a physical in-store event and after party at our Sound Of Tomorrow Los Angeles monthly at The Echoplex on 9.5.14.

It's been a while since we've put out some music huh? Well we apologize for that. We've been growing at such a fast rate and we had to put our focus on to other avenues within Soulection to make this the best platform possible for many years to come. 

With that said, we are sooooo excited to bring your attention to a new artist who you most likely have never heard of (that's about to change) from Wales, UK. We were put on to this talented individual by our friend @helios5th when we first traveled to London back in May. Something about PYRMD's sound just captured us instantly. It's very unique and his melodies just capture your mind like your favorite incense.

PYRMDPLAZA is currently attending the University of Wales and is studying 'Creative Sound and Music'. He uses Ableton but started off with FLStudio. PYRMD started making music about 6-7 years ago and created privately for many years until the beginning of this year when he realized that he wanted to showcase his music. He definitely made the right choice otherwise we wouldn't be here at this very moment. Goes to show you how important social media is and how simply hitting "upload" can change your whole life by connecting with the world.

Right off the bat we could tell he was heading in a unique direction with productions shrouded in mystery. His unique mix of 808s combined with his own palette of african, middle eastern & tribal percussion was enough for us to invite him aboard.

If Dirty Deal Audio's guys were to choose a paint, @Kashuks would probably pick a watercolor. What better way to silently express a strong opinion? The same goes for his music - calm and fluid, while stunning and thoughtful at the same time. 

According to Kashuks himself, "Hand Written Story" is a continuation, another treating of everyday sounds, the seemingly mundane background noise, as it was in "Piece of a Chance, Pt.3". While in this EP he managed to do it without any other samples or VST instruments. From my favorite - a girl's flirty giggle up to random street clutter. 

Kashuks proves his fine earring and allows our souls to move to the sway of his brushstrokes.
