One Year After Hurricane Helene

The place was moving—big low-end, deep atmospherics, precise breaks, and soaring female vocals all night. I built the set like a story of pushing forward after that day a year ago. Before handing things over to DLX, I played Higher Sense – Cold Fresh Air—one of my absolute favorites that matched the cool foggy night outside and stood in sharp contrast to the chaos of the storm a year ago.

This is the last one I'm going to do in this series. It's been fun. 10+ years ago when i started TFIJ 1 with Om Unit - Adventures In Eden it felt like jungle really was the future. There were loads of new ideas being painted with the jungle pallette and it sounded very fresh and exciting. Jungle now just sounds like jungle. Which is fine, and i still love it, but it doesn't feel very forward looking anymore.

So that's why this is the last one.

The 2nd joint effort, title track 'Sunlight' offers a dreamier respite, with beautiful strings, double bass and brass washing over you. Perfectly timeless music to bring those memories of sunkissed summers flooding back.
