Sleep is such an important part of existence. A state of mind, an activity we cannot avoid for long, an escape, a subconscious reality. Infants grow when they sleep. Children and grown-ups dream and see other realities when they sleep. Sleep heals the sick, recharges the tired ones, offers hope to the lost, peace to the disturbed. We must toggle all our lives between the states of sleep and being awake. This is also the toggle between the conscious world and the realms of the seemingly unknown. An unknown place where creative ideas come to life. From a different perspective, some groups of people seem to be asleep while portraying to be awake when making decisions that will shape the future – their own and of those around them. Need examples? Just look at the world we live in! On the other hand, some groups of people seem to be most awake when they are seemingly asleep. Look at all the meditators and spiritually conscious ones among us. Sleep can therefore be a means to an excuse or to enlightenment. Whatever we use it for, this is for sure: we are born sleeping and will fade into oblivion sleeping. Don’t fall asleep in between and do what you can to make life grand.

The Cyans is an independent international power trio from Leipzig/Germany that plays original music apparently closest to alternative rock, based on songs written by Zomb Menon. The band plays concerts regularly in the Leipzig area.

Metakix was a heavymetal band in Bombay/India that was active in the live circuit all of 2000s. The band fronted by Deepak Menon "Z" aka ZOMB, was a pioneer in the Indian Rock Scene and helped create the scene as it is today. Metakix in its 11 years long career gigged extensively, released two full length albums and couple of singles that were distributed worldwide. Following an all India tour, the band disbanded in 2008. "Z" now fronts a new power-trio called The Cyans (The Science)in Germany.

Deepak Menon aka ZOMB, "Z", ZॐB is a singer-songwriter from Bombay/Leipzig with two decades of performing experience, albums and noteworthy achievements in India as well as Europe and USA. "Z" now lives in Leipzig, Germany. He regularly plays at the Villa in Leipzig and has also performed at Cotton Club Jazz, Kaffee Cafe Schwarz, D5 - Wurzen, and at Volkshochschule Leipzig's beautiful music room Aula.
