John Williams Jurassic Park for 5 horns

This is a harmonically tense example of Brahms written in memory of his dear friend and colleague Robert Schumann.  It is a four part fugue originally for the two hands and feet of an organist, now transcribed/arranged into a work for 2 trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba.  The work goes back and forth between the two manuals of the organ which translates into muted sections for the brass.   Once again these are the wonderful sounds of Garritan Personal Orchestra 4 in conjunction with Finale.  

Brahms Organ Fugue WoO8 for Brass Quintet

Here is a wonderful little diddy that has been stuck in my head for about 5 years.  It is the Overture to Bernstein's Operetta "Candide."  A challenging piece for full Orchestra and a near impossibility for Brass Quintet.  Although less colorful than the original, the transcription still serves as a great homage to the late, great composer/conductor/pianist extraordinaire!

Slap My Heart

This was a lil sketch i came up with whilst working at Finale.  I tried to use only the Garritan Organ sounds but decided to up the cheese factor and add Brass as well.  3 chords and 3 minutes long my most complex work to date. giggle.  Drums and Bass next, then someone can buy it and lay down their vocals :)

Me and Mildred having a little fun... We all remember that sad sad moment when Gandalf falls into the abyss in The Lord of the Rings.  Frodo cries and then that little boy sings really high in the soundtrack.  Here is me and Mildred's rendition of that sorrowful cinematic moment. (oh yeah, all these noises are me on french horn...).
