Swarm Intelligence has built up a name for habitually reducing darkened Berlin basements to ruins. Blending ambient, rhythmic noise and industrial sounds with half-step technoid rhythms and pounding 4/4 grooves, he has captured the attention of both techno and noise fiends alike.
From bass-heavy electro right through to fast, distorted breaks, Swarm Intelligence has honed his sound over 4 EPs released on Invisible Agent, Stasis, Acroplane and most recently Acre. His latest album ëBlack Iron Prisoní, also out on Acre, is a fearsome mix of clattering beats, snarling, abrasive distortion and dissonant textures. 

This set at Krake Festival 2014 was the testing ground for some of his latest, unsigned tracks,  crafted from field recordings, self-made Max devices, guitar pedals and some analog gear.

Bio : 

 Vincenzo Pizzi est une référence dans le monde de la Techno Italienne et internationale depuis des années. Doté d’un diplôme en musique électronique, il s’est par la suite spécialisé dans le design sonore. Plus qu’une simple formation, la musique électronique représente une véritable passion pour cet artiste. Il est aujourd’hui reconnu en tant que Producteur, Live Performer et Sound Designer. Vincenzo Pizzi puise son inspiration dans des styles aussi divers et variés que le Glitch, le Noise, l’Ambient ou encore l’Industrial. Il s’affirme maintenant dans une musique électronique expérimentale, aux sonorités d’IDM et de Techno teintée de romantisme. Son dernier EP Pazienza est sorti le weekend dernier sur RDL47 Records, basé à Los Angeles, et il ne compte pas s’arrêter là pour les mois à venir.

En ce qui ce délicieux "Hors d’œuvre", Vincenzo Pizzi a souhaité exprimer une combinaison de bonheur et de tristesse ; celle qui réside en chacun de nous. C’est donc à nous de décider de quel côté s’orienter. On remarquera plusieurs silences lors de la production, que l’on peut associer à des moments d’hésitation.
