I have faults. I'm pretty forward. I have a few useful talents. I'm filled with useless information. I'm a neat and organized person. Some what of a control freak (but aren't we all a little) I love sushi, Mexican and the lifelong pursuit of the perfect Cheeseburger. I know a lot about technology and gadgets and am into social media.

We're a group of people dedicated to writing the best music we can.

Houston native, DJ jay¢ee, produced and hosted The Morning Mix on KPFT 90.1 FM in 2004-2005, and has been a featured DJ on Music Without Borders. 

As one of the organizers for Carnival at Club Next, jay¢ee was also the resident DJ (alongside DJ Baby Jae of The Kracker Nuttz) opening for local indie acts: The Factory Party, Program, The McKenzies, and Spain Colored Orange. 

jay¢ee then went on to support Houston underground hip-hop acts Stitch, Fat Tony, and Perseph One at venues including G.R.A.B. Bar and The Mink; as well as, opening for the now defunct metal band Eye Against at Fitzgerald's.

As a percussionist, he has also performed with Program, Arride, and Shina Rae (also as her DJ), and is a heavy collaborator in the experimental/avant garde collective known as Trajik Sol (soundcloud.com/trajiksol).

jay¢ee now resides at Up Art Studio for Turnin' Headz. Every 1st Thursday of the month, Turnin' Headz brings performances from the best of the Houston underground hip hop, with the first hour dedicated to their infamous open mic, freestyle session.

Life as Lions are a fresh, raw, pensive, and passionate four-piece straightforward rock group. A band born in the heart of Houston and raised in the soul of Southern California, they're bringing straight-up rock back to the main stage. Armed with poignant lyrics, piercing riffs, and hard-driving rhythm, Life as Lions are reinventing rock and roll for a new generation - a fresh perspective on stright-down-the-middle rock a la Foo Fighters and Jimmy Eat World. Their powerhouse sound and thirsty fan base are a testament to the fact that this foursome is going to be a musical force for years to come.
