The Deep Pink pops with well crafted songs that pinnacle with blistering choruses and dynamics that mesmerize those in the vicinity. 

  Based out of Brooklyn NY, and led by front man and composer Alex Goumas, the music combines elements of classic and 21st century pop. The music crosses over to different genres with hints of funk, synth rock, and electronic/dance, leaving audiences buzzed from the eclectic mix. Backed by a talented band that executes schooled musicianship and fierce creative punch, the group promises an experience worthy to any audience.

Before The Deep Pink, Alex was hustling as bassist and sideman. He performed in a slew of bands, the very first band being Freaks for The Festival, and funk jam band from NH. Migrating to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music he was the bass chair in many different projects including Boston party funk band PocketSauce, the eclectic free jazz group, Dope Directive, and O.G.M.F. 

In the fall of 2008, Alex made the transition to NYC. Soaking up the eclectic and diverse music in Brooklyn left a lasting impression on him. He slowly started writing his own songs and indulging in his home studio. In 2011 he formed his own group under his artist name Alex Goumas before changing over to The Deep Pink, with Grant Fisher on guitar, Isamu McGregor on keys/synths, and Adam Sadowsky on drums.  

2012 saw the release of the debut EP Great Design, which has received both airplay on KLED Live (91.1FM) in the Greater Los Angeles Area, and Off the Charts Radio in the UK. The first two singles, Dancer Girl and Summer Color were #1 for 5 weeks in row on Jay Adkins “Best Unsigned Artist” poll. The Deep Pink finished up the year with the release of their first Music Video for Dancer Girl.

After a long hiatus, to focus on traditional broadcast radio, “The world’s most charismatic dead man”, GOBS THE ZOMBIE, is back… and he’s got a fresh new sound. Pounding kick drums, oldskool rave stabs, and dark seedy vocals combine to form a style of TECHNO that is an ode to the pioneering years of electronic dance music while equally pushing forward into the future! Their new sound is perfect for a fetish party or dark warehouse vibe. This is “Gobby Z” like you’ve never seen them before. 

There are few people that love music quite as much as Gobs. They’re a radio host, music producer, and one of the worlds best open format DJs. Gobs first gained notoriety as a rave MC, known then as “Gobstoppa”. During the 2000’s they held residencies with Toronto’s legendary Hullabaloo! and Goodfellaz event promotion crews. Starting in 2006, Gobs began performing as a living dead DJ, under the moniker, Gobs The Zombie. The popularity of the act led to their relocating to New York City, and touring around North America from 2011 through 2013. During this time, Gobs produced aggressive electronic music as both Gobs The Zombie and Smut Pushers, scoring releases on famed labels, Ultra and Play Records, amongst others. 

Gobs’ true passion has always lied in sharing great music with others, and they have used online radio broadcasting to do so for many years, starting with their involvement in the infamous Toronto based hard dance program, Totally Sweet Radio, which led to their Dead Air mix series on the world’s most popular electronic music stream, Digitally Imported. In recent years, Gobs relocated to London, Ontario, and became involved in the city’s beloved independent radio station, CHRW, where they launched a late-night, open format, Multimedia experience, called Midnight Looms. 

Now, with the pandemic behind us, Gobs is ready to return to the DJ circuit armed with a digital crate of absolute fire for future forward, raver friendly dancefloors.
