This features recordings from Cwmdale pool on the Long Mynd which has caught my attention for years after seeing the abundant life in many species of dragonfly, bugs and water beetles emerging from the small unassuming pool which sits in the middle of a golf course on this part of the Long Mynd.
For a while I made visits to the pool to try out recording with a hydrophone (made by Jez Riley French, inspired by a Jana Winderen BBC Sounds podcast - Listening to the Deep)
I took these back to the studio and started to respond musically to the sounds from under the water. 
After several visits, I then felt something was missing as a portrait of this location and so recorded in unison the sounds from above and below the surface of the water.
I also decided that this music would be a celebration of what we still have in the natural world

A remix pack is nothing more than the universe experiencing its own dance music subjectively. With this in mind, we took Ecuadorian sound-seer Nicola Cruz’s latest audiovisions and refracted them through the minds of some of the world’s hottest young cultural interpreters. To provide you with the best possible approximation of what the results feel like, we then sent an intern to loiter outside a local Heart-Opening Ceremony to get people’s unfiltered reactions just moments after they awakened to their new place in the universal order. Jupiter Pace kick starts proceedings with ‘The Beat’, a deep and sultry production featuring scintillating synths and a smooth low-end, before in.deed return to Kittball with the melodic and mesmerising ‘Love And Happiness’. Whoami then delivers a bass fuelled cut titled ‘Rehab’ before label regulars Chemical Surf pair up with Bondi in a serene slice of House named ‘Losing Abilities’. Dashdot ‘Hope’ is perhaps the most atmospheric track on the package with its soaring pads and dusky elements, making way for Modul Kollektiv’s arpeggio heavy ‘Breathe’ leaving Pazkal to conclude the release with the tribal inspired ‘Gotta Let Go’.
