Artist Bio Introducing The Definition a member of Rebel Intellect born out of Los Angeles California but raised in Knoxville Tennessee.TheDefinition’s early influences were listening to Common’s be album and Kanye West’s College Dropout album. In hip hop culture their have been a lot of street rappers who have gained major mainstream success. The albums I mentioned gave Definition a new perspective on hip hop how this culture is bigger than just street life that in Hip Hop you can convey positive messages and influence tons of people through good lyrics. He began writing and working on his craft at 14 but did not take music seriously until turning 20 years old. He is currently working towards a Music Business degree at MTSU with a minor in marketing. The definition’s influences range from Nas, Common, Kanye West, Tupac, Tribe Called Quest, Jay-z, J dilla, Kendrick Lamar, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Sade, and Outkast. His sound is very jazzy and raps about very conscious and honest topics.
