Craig Gordon was a moniker assigned to Delta Mirror front man, Chris Acosta, by friends as an inside joke that lasted until 2012 when, after a dark few years, he was introduced to himself for the very first time. Where The Delta Mirror’s first release, Machines that Listen, was a concept album written entirely from the perspective of other people, Better Unsung is a more personal look into the musician’s life. Thusly, it was necessary for Chris Acosta to return. Far more dynamic than it’s older sister, this record is step away from the glitchy electronics of Machines. It’s track list harbors more diversity in instrumentation and theme and even pays homage to song writing inspirations My Morning Jacket and Q Lazzuras. 
While David Bolt and Karrie K do appear on a couple tracks each, this record was, for the most part, a solo effort.  He did, however, have help from a handful of inspirational friends. Better Unsung is co produced by beat magician and Anticon Records co founder, Alias, with cameos from Blue Sky Black Death (Fake Four), fellow Alias collaborator Tarsier and, now label mate, Danny Fujikawa of Chief (Domino) who is also releasing a solo album on Lightwave this year under the name SWiM.  
By day Chris Acosta directs and edits music videos and is currently in production for the long awaited first Delta Mirror video. He has been remixed by a long list of peers like Busdriver, Alias, Blue Sky Black Death, Odd Nosdam and Bomar as well as shared the stage with acts like Chelsea Wolfe, School of Seven Bells, Apple Seed Cast, The Morning Benders, Dawes, Sleepy Sun and Sister Crayon. New remixes and 2013-14 tour schedule coming soon.
