Mario SOI is an Ottawa-based DJ, producer, and curator of deep, organic, and progressive electronic music. As the creative mind behind Progressive Sounds Sessions, Mario shares his passion for underground music culture, creating a space dedicated not to slow down — but to celebrate love for electronic music in all its emotional depth and rhythmic beauty.

Known for his melodic, groove-driven, and storytelling approach, Mario blends organic house, deep progressive, and atmospheric sounds into immersive sets designed to move both heart and body. As one half of the music project Pulse & Pattern, his focus is on crafting sonic journeys that connect people through shared energy and emotion.

International DJ from Spain, Marbella, having over 20 years of experience around Europe and Asia.
Born and raised in Ukraine, he began his music journey in the early 2000s, organizing electronic events and showcases in his native country and far beyond its borders.
Throughout the weekend he can perform at multiple locations.
Meeting the sunset with melodic, deep and hypnotic sessions at beach bars and pre-party venues, Newman usually moves to night clubs, playing more intense house rhythms, and when the sun is rising up, he can be detected at various after-parties, delivering massive progressive sound.
In the mid-2010s he moved to Vietnam, where he focused on arranging exclusive events and touring all over Southeast Asia. 
Nowadays Newman lives in Spain, continuing to pursue his passion for music and travel.

Technical and spiritual elements of his artistic vision have been developing over the years. 
Giving preferences to various genres, he eventually formed his unique style, where mesmerising depth goes together with strong dynamics, immersing listeners into the surrealistic and dreamlike atmosphere that allows people to experience a complete connection between body and soul..
