A progressive brutal death metal band whose style is difficult to put a finger on. They are a four piece, with Tommas Kelly-Tait on lead vocals, Steven Booth on guitar and vocals, James Vanner on drums, and Luke McEachern on bass guitar. Always up for an odd-time slam or two, Ruinant have recently played a series of shows around our hometown of Nelson, laying waste to the mosh pit with their groove infected slams reminiscent of Dying Fetus with a new school prog influence, they strike forth a level of brutality Nelson has never seen before. Recently moved to Wellington, and are making their place in the local death metal circuit. With lyrical themes revolving around space, time, geometry and the classic surgical gore, they hope to usher in a new brand of brutal death metal. Death metal for thinking men, who prefer their slams just a little weird, and their tech death just a little weirder.

Mr Jennings is a founder of the Richmond, VA based collective Party Liberation Front and spent over a decade throwing underground parties up and down the east coast before moving to Portland, OR to make beats and eat noodles.  He’s also a manager at Burning Man Information Radio and LOVES sharing music and shenanigans in the dust ❤️
