Disco Music is probably one of Toy Tonics’s catchiest tracks. Played by DJs like Palms Trax, A-Trak, Louie Vega, Folamour and tons of other big names, this track could become an anthem for the new wave of disco that is invading the clubs 2024. 
After techno and trance revivals of the last year not just the Italo disco movement has become massive among the younger generation, but all kinds of Afro, Latin, new wave and indie disco sounds are invading the dance floors.

Fimiani who made this track, inspired by a rare old song from the 1970ies played all instruments himself with a group of friends (no samples).

Now it’s time to bring on variations of the track, remixes by Young Pulse, the house maestro from Paris, Elado, crazy edit king from Tel Aviv, Berlin's Delfonic, who one more time proves that he knows how to tune a soul song into a dance floor anthem and last but not east Paul Older, the guy who just released his debut EP on Toy Tonics with massive support himself by DJs like Folamour, Master at Work and many others…

[SPC152] ILYA SANTANA - Got Time

Disco and Jazz-Funk producer Maryag jumps back aboard The Disco Express with his latest incarnation 'Joy Frequency'. Channeling the spirit of ‘70s disco and jazz-funk while maintaining the precision and drive of modern dance music, his latest project, 'Joy Frequency EP', takes that ethos further, offering four expertly crafted tracks designed for dance floors worldwide.

Lead track 'I Will Dance' sets the tone for the EP with pulsating bass lines, shimmering keys, and tight, rolling percussion. A hypnotic groove underpins the track, while subtle brass stabs and synth flourishes add texture. The arrangement evolves organically, balancing deep funk sensibilities with forward-thinking production.

Following suit is FIFA World Cup inspired 'Mundial'. An anthemic fusion of global influences, Brazilian percussion, Afrobeat-inspired rhythms, and funk-driven basslines, its syncopated groove builds momentum, while layered horns and electric piano riffs push the track into peak-time territory. The result is a percussive, high-energy jam built for the Summer day time joy.

Sleek, driving, and packed with tension, 'Gimme Love' leans into Maryag’s poppier side. A rich, full-bodied bass line anchors the track between vocoded hooks, delayed guitars and warm pads.The track a oozes a late-night, neon-lit aesthetic, making it equally suited for club play and home listening.

Closing out the EP, '296' is a raw, groove-heavy instrumental driven by live musicianship. A locked-in rhythm section lays the foundation for expansive solos, with saxophone and trumpet leads trading off over deep, rolling bass. The track carries a distinct live energy, capturing the spontaneity and warmth of a jam session while remaining tightly structured for the dance floor.

Following the success of his 2024 debut on The Disco Express with the Playing For Time EP, he has steadily built a reputation for blending vintage analog textures with contemporary club energy. His productions showcase a meticulous approach to live instrumentation, with a roster of synths, drum machines, and session musicians shaping his unmistakable sound.

Maryag’s hands-on approach to production shines throughout Joy Frequency EP. His arsenal includes classic gear like the Jet Telecaster, Greco Jazz Bass, Roland Juno-106, Moog Mother-32, and a Teac M-09 Analog Mixer. Live brass elements come courtesy of jazz musicians Azat Gaifullin (saxophone) and Ivan Akatov (trumpet), bringing depth and authenticity to the record.
