Flipsight enters the house scene with the 'Back in Time' EP by Ricky Razu. It is a cohesive blend of nostalgic influences and modern touches, drawing inspiration from Ricky's own record collection encompassing genres like 90s house, boogie, jazz, and soul (Think Harvey Sutherland, Space Ghost, Cable Toy, Eddie C). 

His decision to embrace a slower life pace away from the urban hustle allowed him to focus on the creative process and reconnect with the core reasons why he started making music. We can definitely state that this EP reflects his growth as an artist and captures the essence of his musical journey.

PREMIERE: Ricky Razu - Got Me Trippin'

Specifically to the sub-label of the Croatian brand Dobar House, known as Gruv. Dobar House Gruv focuses more on deep and underground sound while maintaining a danceable and positive atmosphere in its released tracks.

Daniel's new track, titled "In My House," perfectly embodies these attributes. The track is built on proven 808 drums complemented by a 303 acid bassline. Progressive melodies from semi-modular analog synthesizers and a repetitive vocal contribute to the overall hypnotic vibe of the song. Almost the entire track was created using analog equipment, including synthesizers and drum machines.

"In My House" serves as the first glimpse into a new phase of Daniel's creative work, characterized by a different approach to production than his previous Opus series.

The track will be part of the Various Artist compilation "Fresh Gruvs Vol. 1," featuring contributions from other artists such as Wallo & MiNNt Edit, Flatty Tatcher, and D&D Brothers.

With “WAVES”, young Manchester-based producer HUGO releases his first full-length EP on theBasementDiscos. 

WAVES consists out of three original tracks by HUGO and a remix by Frenchman LOG, who has already contributed a track to theBasement’s last Various Artists EP, HORCHATA. 

HUGO is a very flexible producer whose previous releases range between funky disco and breakbeat-influenced leftfield house. With WAVES, he now presents an ecstatic EP of heavy dancefloor-hitters. 
The tone on the EP is set by funky electric guitars, anthemic string sections, soulful vocals and other classic sampled disco-tools. Altogether with the super groovy drums and percussion, HUGO delivers an EP which combines elements of both old-school and modern dance music.
