Purveyors of remastered, remixed and re-energised old-school disco and funk, the Disco Pirates have been feeding their dance floor frenzy for the better part of 2021 and 2022, and they’re back now with Getting Away With Murder Vol 2. 
 
They’ve gone deeper into their treasure trove of records and created 10 new edits that are guaranteed to bring the funk anytime of day or night.
 
The Pirates are also busy planning their Paradisco Winter Tour, so watch this space.

3 QUESTIONS to DAVID JACH:

Q: You still include vinyl records to your DJ sets. What makes them so special?

A: You can hold vinyl in your hands – that’s very special. At the moment most of the music that is released is only digital and you store this music in a folder on your laptop or the usb-stick. I love to have great music in my hand and to store them in my vinyl shelf much more old-school but still cool. 
Also playing vinyl is special not every mix is perfect but that’s it and that makes every set special and people listen to that – things happen during a set which you can not plan but in the end: it sounds good especially the dirty touch of this medium like the cracking and random noises. Also this podcast is made by vinyl only.

Q: You planned to move to Istanbul for a while - before the attacks and the politic situation. How do you think about it today and is it still an option?

A: The political situation is very worrying at the moment and you also note this in clubs. People don’t like to make big party’s there and it is a really tense situation in this country. But still - I love Istanbul a lot – it is a very magical city with a great vibe. I would like to play there, to make people happy with my music and let them forget for a moment what happens outside of the club. My movement plans to Istanbul are currently on ice. I stay in my hometown Dresden at the moment but if the situation in Turkey becomes more relaxed I will move there for a while. That’s sure.

Q: Which new David Jach releases are coming soon?

A: My next release will be on “With Compliments” it is a vinyl release called “Back to House EP” with an awesome remix from Okain & AGENT I work at the moment on a co-production with Sven Tasnadi. Be excited – something is coming.

Larse is a Dj and Producer from Germany.

Starting his career spinning records in the nineties, Larse very quickly made a name for himself in Germany. Bagging a residency with his very first DJ gig at the Tanzcafé in his hometown of Dortmund, his skills on the decks caught the attention of 1LIVE Radio (Europe’s biggest youth radio station and Germany’s equivalent to BBC Radio One) who gave him his own show. Larse hosted 1LIVE “Klubbing” alongside Mike Litt for over 15 years, earning him a nomination for the German Dance Award, many loyal followers as well as national and international bookings along the way.But it was Larse’s move into producing that really kicked things off. His 2011 release “The More I Want” was picked up by big names such as Jamie Jones and Tale Of Us and became a huge hit with Ibiza clubbers. His first EP “Nightshift” on Noir Music followed shortly afterwards and within a few months Larse reached the coveted number one spot of the all-important Beatport Deep House Top 100 for the first time with “So Long”, also released on Noir.
Intensive touring ensued with gigs at the world’s top clubs including Fabric/London, Sankeys/Manchester and Polar Lounge/New York to name only a few. More Beatport chart entries followed and Larse became a sought-after remixer. Among the music that was reworked in his smooth yet danceable style were tracks by Hollis P. Monroe, Noir & Westboy, Feed Me & Crystal Fighters as well as Candi Staton’s “Hallelujah Anyway” on Defected, which not only got him yet another Deep House number one on Beatport but was also picked as Pete Tong’s “Essential Tune” and even made it into the Top Twenty of the official Belgian charts, reaching gold status.
Now Larse is by no means resting on his laurels. He has already followed up with some high profile remixes on Exploited, Peppermint Jam, Defected, Dikso, Eskimo Recordings and D:Vision. Remixes for Lovebirds and Moonbootica and a Larse EP on his new home label Suol are scheduled for release in 2016.

In 2020 Larse will release his new track ‚we were young‘ on Lehar‘s Multinotes imprint and an EP with Charlie Sputnik on Mousse T‘s Peppermint Jam.
