Thumpa - The Jump Up Chronicles Mixes (History Of Jump Up)

Diving straight into one of my favourite eras, the 2007/8 period! By this time jump up was everywhere, Taxman and Original Sin were firing out anthems monthly, Hazard released the HUGE Machete Bass EP, TC's 'Evolution' became the album of the year and Modified Motion, Connecta and Heist were dropping high pitched bassline wobblers all over the gaff. Love it or hate it...this is jump up baby!

Entering very aggy territory with volume 8! 2011 - 2012 was a time of massive change in jump up as the tunes got harder and higher pitched. Lots of massive tracks here from big names like Pleasure, Jaydan, Majistrate, Heist, Serum and more. Coming up the ranks were names like DJ Guv, Konichi, Dominator and others...the new wave of jump up had arrived and it was fucking angry...

For my 10th mix I looked at the insane 2015/2016 era with legends like Guv, Majistrate, Heist and Pleasure putting out some of their best work and new(ish) rookies Hedex, Upgrade, Dominator, Voltage and more expanding the jump up landscape with crazy sound design and European influences.
