A deep dive into the early releases on the Back 2 Basics sub label that ran from 1994 to 2000, releasing music from Ascend, Ultravibe, Technical Itch, JB and more. At first glance the label could be considered 90s record box filler but I love how the label could hop from atmospheric jungle to vocals to big wobbly basslines and amens to hip hop jump up and darkness.
