We will be opening the open air rooftop stage at 2pm so you can dance in the sunshine right through to sunset at 9pm & then go inside and rave in the main event until 6am if you're hardcore enough! The open air rooftop will have a full beach party theme with real sand, palm trees, inflatables + much much more! This mix captures the sounds of the infamous Species club nights held mainly at the Park nightclub in Manchester, but also at various other venues across England , we did many tour nights - north radical - vibealight - tomrrows world - fantasy island & many more ..

Species was monthly nights from April 2000 which the first was a free party ! and ran till 2005 , with international Dj's such as Neophyte, Dj Promo, Lenny Dee , Catscan - The Dj Producer , Deathmachine , The headbanger , Dj randy , Joshua , hellfish . Scott brown and Don Diablo (amongst many others) headlining at various events alongside resident Dj's.

Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog has supplanted himself in the darker and heavier side of the genre with a focus on heavy unrelenting drums, driving bass and obscure distorted vocals.

Virtual Underground : What inspires your work? 
Balrog: I think I’m inspired most by the varied genres of music I listen to. Obviously i listen to a lot of techno but I love Chicago house, DnB, Disco, Rock, Metal. It all influences my productions. Also I love to sample films or elements of films, as is probably apparent from my artist name I’m a huge Lord Of The Rings fan and it often creeps in to my work. One of my latest releases on Yucatech Recordings “I See You” is a classic example.

On Friday 10th April 2020 (Good Friday) Chapel Of Chaos goes once again back in time to the millennium hardcore era 2000 to 2012 with a whole night of music from this magical period.

Throughout the 2000s exciting club nights like North, Oblivion and Species were pioneering the sounds of this new, exciting hardcore sound and happy events like HTID, Slammin’ Vinyl and Uproar were showcasing the harder sounds in their second arena throughout the UK. Only a stone’s throw from legendary venues like Air, Custard Factory and the HMV Institute in Birmingham we will celebrate this era once again at our home Suki10c with the DJs and producers that reigned supreme during this time.
