A little story about this one! I was booked at the Weekender in 2008 in the North room. I was playing Saturday night and of course as you know the weekenders are very messy and drug fuelled! I ended up playing jump up D&B in the techno room as I felt it was too early in the night to play speedcore and the crowd had thinned out in the 2 sets before. I stuck some D&B on and the room filled up immediately! 

Please don't watch the mixing, I was absolutely battered all weekend...

Part 2 of my look at Helter Skelter in 1996, this time it's all about the JUNGLE!

In the Summer of 1996 I was cleaning my bedroom and decided to stick Radio One on, it was broadcasting live from Tribal Gathering and John Peel introduced 2 DJs that would change my life forever, DJ Vibes and DJ Rap. Rap and MC Jakes & Joe Peng were only on the radio for 20 minutes but I was hooked on drum & bass as soon as the first track dropped! From 1996 to around 2002 I bought a LOT of D&B vinyl and to this day I've still got hundreds of records that bring back some amazing memories. I hope you enjoy this mix, crackles, mistakes and all!

This was the year of Bambaata, Turbulence, Alien Girl and many more instant classics, all contained in this mix! I was 16 and buying a LOT of D&B records, I got my first proper gig in 98 and played tunes in this mix, 22 years later I still love em!
